Having some issues with this slider...

please help with installation!

I would like to have the main slider rotating between 3/4 images/posts like yours Ouasda. I downloaded the vslider plugin but like Epweb I am a wordpress novice as well and cannot figure out how to get this to work. I have downloaded vslider widget and have it as a sidebar on the homepage and I have also edited the header.php but now I have no sliders showing up at all.

I also dont know how to make the sub menu that you have which includes News, Students, Events, Advocacy, and Pre Dental. Any help would be greatly appreciated at this point I am not sure what else to do.

Ouasda - thanks so much for your help. Lookin' good and cookin' with oil now.

Also, notice that all the "main_image", "image_thmb", and "continue reading" stuff are all deleted.

Save a copy of your original "header.php" first, as it might take a little trial and error to get the desired result.

To insert the vslider into the featured area, you have to delete the code for the existing slider replace with the line of code for the vslider.

Here is what that section of my "header.php" looks like now:

Having a similar trouble/request. It's a fantastic theme but for what our use is we need that Feature area to rotate automatically. Any help you can give in regards to integrating it, would be great Ouasda.

I've managed to insert the vslider in the sidebar as a widget but can't work out where or how to get it to apply that functionality to the main homepage image slider that i have.

I integrated vSlider into the area where the theme had its slider.

I need a moving / working slider... I thought it would rotate at the least.

Maybe it isn't necessarily a "problem", but I have had several people using the site ask "why can't you click on the picture to enter the post". As others on this forum have mentioned, it does affect usability. That is why I was considering this an "issue" and made a post here in the forum. Don't get me wrong, I think the theme is great overall, so don't take this criticism the wrong way. This is nothing more than a perceived shortcoming of an otherwise wonderful theme. And like many others I suppose, I downloaded this theme with the assumption that the slider would have some basic options like an automated slideshow, thumbnails or no thumbnails, and a linkable image. But you know what they say about those who assume :)

This has not been added to the theme. It's not a problem, the theme has been downloaded hundreds of times and this request has only come up a couple of times. Because of that, we cannot make every change that is suggested in the forums. The forums are for issues with the themes themselves.

The theme is great, but I am also in need of a slider that rotates automatically and for the feature image to be clickable. I see that many others have this same request and your response is always to "fill out a customization form". Given that this request has been coming up for over a year, has anything been done to solve this problem? It just seems that many people would have filled out the form at this point. Do we each have to make the custom request individually?

I would be grateful for a response.
