Hello Christopher, I left the review as requested.
So, new question: I am trying to make the background a video background instead to the featured image slideshow, and I uploaded the video to Youtube, but when I copy and paste the URL into the designated box in the Customize view, it doesn't work. I've tried using the full video URL, the shortened URL from my Youtube's Info and Settings page, and just the alpha-numerical Youtube ID tag. What am I doing wrong?

It's the best IMO.

Hope you're enjoying the theme!

If you haven't already, PLEASE don't forget to rate VYSUAL on your downloads page on ThemeForest. Five-star ratings REALLY help me out and encourage further development and updates.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I use the same inspect method to determine the id/class and see the current styling (via FireBug browser add-on). The markup above was copy/pasted from that process.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! For future reference, is there anyway I could find this coding information myself? I have been able to see some of it by selecting an object, right clicking, and pressing the 'Inspect' button, but that doesn't give me enough info to be able to edit what I want how I want. That's why I just asked you.

Ok, I got the dropdown menu to look better, and the sidebar widgets, but I'm having a hard time getting the code right for the movie credits and the footer menu.
This is what I have:
#footerMenu a {
color: rgba(50, 50, 50, 1);
}
How should I change that for the footer to work?
What should I change for the Credits?

Hi there,

Unfortunately that's not a quick edit I can provide as there are lots of text items that have specific color styling.

You'll need to target all elements via CSS on the Customize page to change the color. For example, the menu buttons have the following color style...

#dropmenu a {
    color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.3);
}

You can copy/paste that into the Custom CSS box and make changes there.

Hope that helps!

Best,

Hey, just came up with another question. Is there any way to change the site text color? I'm only seeing a way to change the menu background and the links. I have your theme running on multiple sites, and want one of them to have a lighter background, but it makes the menu buttons unreadable.

Hi there,

Couple things...

1. Your logo image is too large.

2. Your opacity setting on the Customize page is set to "1", which is 100% black (not transparent). I recommend you change that to at least .9 so that you can see your background images.

Hope that helps!

Best,

That did it! Thank you for your help! Now however, I am having a little bit of trouble re-creating your 'Videos 1' Page on my own site. I have a page formatted in the videos page style, and I made a few posts that I want to show up on that page, and I inserted the links to those pages. Now the page shows up, and I am able to cycle through the two videos, but the featured image only appears after clicking the 'next' button. The screen just displays all black with the play button in the center until either the 'play' or the 'next' button are pressed.

Hi there,

I recommend uploading the audio file to your WordPress media library and grabbing the URL form there. You don't want to alter the core theme files as you will lose any customizations like that when you perform a theme update.

Hope that helps!

I originally had it inside the Vysual folder like the secret-demo.mp3 file is:

/public_html/wp-content/themes/Vysual/audio/secrets-demo.mp3

On the Customize page, I simply edited the URL text that was already there, seen above, so that it had the new MP3 as the final destination, like this:

/public_html/wp-content/themes/Vysual/audio/technology.mp3

I tried to change the audio for the main page from the secret-demo.mp3 file to any other mp3 file and the audio will no longer play at all. When I pull up my site the little indicator in the bottom left corner moves as if the audio were auto-playing, but no sound is heard. I have tried toggling the audio button, and reloading the page with the auto-play feature turned off, but still nothing. Not even if I try to get it to play the secret-demo.mp3 file again.
