I can confirm that click/dragging is the way that you control the order of items. Two main points...

1. Audio has to be uploaded from the post edit page via the "add media" button (not the media library page).

2. When viewing the add media pop-up, you need to filter items by "uploaded to this post" in order to click/drag the order you want.

I just tested this using the latest version of the theme/WordPress and it works like magic :-)

Not able to drag tracks into the correct order from the media upload list. What does work is:

1. Adding the file from the library to the page. Making sure it isn't set to embed or open in another window.
2. Remove the line in the edit text area that this process adds for the track.
3. Save after each track is added.

Since the documentation was written for an earlier version of WordPress, the media library has changed quite a bit. I can no longer find the 'actions' field to arrange the track order of added songs. I have tried setting the track number in the title of each media file to no avail. I have also tried removing all tracks from the page and then adding them again in order. One final thing I did also try was to create a playlist, but this simply embeds the playlist in the content area of the page.

How can I arrange the tracks in order on the page in WP 4.1 so that they show up in order on the upper right side where they are supposed to be?
