Looks like you have it correct, you just need to set your Homepage in your Theme Options. Once that's good, just add posts to that category and you should be good to god.

closer... i removed all widgets and added recent posts back on but still not center image and mp3's not showing.

Please remove the Social Login Plugin and let me know if that helps.

Once you get that squared away, following the directions in the Help file for MP3's should make them show up. Getting your homepage correct first though is important.
