If you use a GIF animation for you logo, it will start animating as soon as the GIF is finished loading.

Regarding the welcome message, it only appears when you're using the home page built into the theme. Since you're using a static page for the home page, the welcome message doesn't show because it's not part of that page.

I'm not sure why the title of the page isn't showing, though. Do you have a title assigned for that page? If so, what did you name it?

Thanks a lot for your quick response Chris, I'm working on converting it to a gif now, and when I do, is there any way it will just appear on landing without having to press the down arrow? Also, the welcome message for the homepage (inserting in theme options) isn't showing up for some reason - any idea what might be blocking it? Also, I can't get rid of the comment boxes on each page even though I've disallowed comments in the discussion tab settings. Is there a setting within the pages to get rid of this?

Hi there,

Animations only work for images if they are an animated GIF file. The logo you're using is not an animated GIF. Try that first.
