I'm not sure if it is supported. I haven't tried it myself. I do know that transparent PNGs are not supported, but I don't see anything in the Nivo Slider documentation about GIFs.

Chris, I tried it on my site at chuckjonesphotography.com, but took it back down. Not knowing if GIF files were supported when sized correctly (or what the correct size is!) I wanted to check with you before spending hours chasing my tail. I'm assuming from your reply that there should not be a problem using animated GIF's with the slider is what you are implying?

Hi Chris! Great theme, I love it! One question though, I have been trying to get animated GIF's to work with the Slider. Even resized them to 780x400, the size set by default in the Styles.css, but no go. What do I need to change, or what size do Animated GIF's need to be so they will load and play properly?
