You do not have to insert the image into the post for it to be used as the thumbnail. If you enter the URL to the image in the designated custom field, that is all you have to do.

Hi Mr Molitor

Is it possible to have the custom image which is a small thumb of some awards to not appear on the gallery page within the post? I want the users to see the certificate initially but when they click and the post opens fully I don't want it to appear there - only showing the projects that won the awards. Hope this makes sense.
