Sorry if I wasn't clear before. With the way the images are generated on the page, only the featured image can make use of that title feature of the prettyPhoto pop-up. This theme doesn't load the additional images (just the links) in order to reduce site loading times. As a result, prettyPhoto doesn't detect the alt attribute for the images because they aren't on the page.

You'll need to submit a customization request to add the ability to use the title feature as it requires custom code and testings to achieve: http://themolitor.com/custom

many thanks from Germany for your help. I tried to understand and would like to try
- as you said - providing a title to populate the caption space. How can I achieve
this and is the the caption space also above the image?

Hi there,

It looks like the title element in the pop-up is generated by the alt attribute for the image tag. Since the image tag is not loaded for additional images (to dramatically reduce loading times), there is no alt attribute to be used in the title space for additional images. You can still populate the caption space by providing a title, though.

all the images have the requested data like title, alt title
and description added. I created new posts... the behaviour is exactly
the same: first image has text above lightbox - next ones not.

Make sure your images in your WordPress admin have title, alt and description information.

thanks for your sudden and highly appreciated help. I changed the code and
it worked like charms but the text only shows up in the first image of the
pp lightbox.All the following have no text above. I do not know why? Maybe
you have something in your experienced developer mind ?

Hi Chris,

I am looking for a possibility to have some additionally text info (e.g. the image´s alt text) showing up in the PP lightbox above the image like shown here:

As I checked on my site an "div.ppt" above every image exists already (height 19px) so I thought there might be little code to fill it with the alt text...
