The code in my last post has been there ever since post-form.php was added to the theme. With the latest version of the theme (v1.4.2 - released yesterday), the above code is now on line 273.

Open up post-form.php and change the following on line 211 from this...

<?php wp_dropdown_categories( 'show_option_none='.__('Select','themolitor').'&taxonomy=category&child_of='.$eventCat); ?>

...to this...

<?php wp_dropdown_categories( 'show_option_none='.__('Select','themolitor').'&taxonomy=category&child_of='.$eventCat.'&orderby=name' ); ?>
