Hi Chris, (Thanks also to @Mconheady - unfortunatly this did not work for me but appreciate your guiandance)

Thanks in advance for your help
1. I have now gone through each and every post and checked each GPS coordinate
2. Checked that any posts that are not map posts are assigned to a category
3. Made sure that each post also had a personal zoom level just to eliminate that aspect
4. Cleared all cache to make sure of clean browsing

However I am still getting the "you need to add posts to display on the map"

I have sent you an email referencing this post.

Thanks in advance
Iain

also if you dont figure it out shoot me your admin details to chris@organicbeemedia.com (please reference this thread if not Ill ignore the email)

I got mine working. I did a complete restore form a backup a few days ago. I believe the site broke when I did the 1.4 upgrade last week but I have host caching and it must have hid the issue.

iaintaylor, do you have any caching enabled?
I would go through the last few posts you made and double check those GPS coordinates. especially make sure they have the "-" if they should have. Also check blog posts that lack GPS data to make sure they are assigned to the blog category.

I have all my posts listed under the "locations" category
http://nyhistoric.com/category/locations/
Oddly, they all display just fine. Seems to be an issue with just the home page.

The same thing happened today on my site (no one has made any changes to the site otherwise
http://nyhistoric.com/
It just displays the default page background.
I checked all 200+ gps coordinates and they are all in and formatted properly.
Like i said.. nothing (including plugins) has changed in days... it just suddenly stopped displaying the home page (category page maps work though). The list and thumbnails of posts aren't showing on the bottom either.

Could this have to do with changes to the Google Maps API licensing?
https://developers.google.com/maps/licensing

Hi Chris - Thanks for the prompt response - I appreciate it.

So on further investigation I have discovered the following:

1. if you select any of the continents it shows the correct posts (except for Europe which shows nothing)
2. on the home page zoomed out it shows nothing
3. I have not updated anything and have not had any errors until today when visiting the site - see screenshot

The plugins I have installed and activated are as follows:
- Akismet
- All in one SEO Pack
- Contact Form 7
- Google Analytics for Wordpress
- Google XML sitemaps
- Really Simple CAPTCHA
- Secure WordPress
- WordPress File Monitor
- WP Security Scan

However these have all been in place for some time. I have tried playing around with categories each post belongs to but no luck.

Please advise,
Thanks in advance - Iain

do you have any plugins installed?

did you update anything? getting any errors?

Ref: http://bookabroad.com

I know that this is very general but simply put all bar one post has disappeared from the site. I can not explain this any other way. They were all there a few days ago - and now they are gone.

All the posts exist within wordpress as they were normally.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.
Iain
