Hi there,

I'm not aware of a better suited plugin than the AJAX calendar, but that's not to say there isn't one out there. The thing with plugins is that they're usually built for general WordPress use.

I'll keep my eyes out for a better solution, though.

Thanks!

Chris

I know this is most likely not about the theme but about the plugin. However, I would like to know if you have an answer to this..

When I place the ajax calendar in the sidebar widgets, I can choose which post category to highlight. So, because this theme is event-oriented, I select the parent event category, and thus only days that have event-posts are highlighted and have a link in the ajax calendar.

However... the date that has an event, and thus a link, links to the date archive, which by default includes all posts published on that date. This means that the ajax calendar links to an archive that includes event-posts and nonevent-posts, even though the intent is to display only event-posts.

My solution would be to edit the date archive to remove nonevent-posts from the loop (I'm most unable to edit the plugin itself). That sounds too drastic, though, since a priori that would seem to limit my ability to later on use the date archive to actually display all posts by date. The other choice would be to switch to a different calendar-widget plugin.

Does anybody have a suggestion on how to better deal with this? Maybe how to edit the plugin?

On the other hand, I would ask mighty THE MOLITOR to select a calendar-plugin that is a perfect (or better, customizable) match for the intent of the calendar for use with this amazing theme.

Thanks!
