Further to this ver 2.0 update - has anyone else noticed that the map toggle switch has disappeared from the individual post pages...or was it never there and I just noticed it now? :+)

I checked the winwooddesign site referenced above as that is also a ver 2.0 upgrade and the map toggle is gone on that site at the post level well. My site is http://www.geospatialinfo.ca (still working on creating content for the site).

Excellent theme update by the way, the street view option functions perfectly!

That's it! The plugin WP-PrettyPhoto (mine was Version 1.6) appears to be causing the loss of map problem and loss of background image problem too. With that one deactivated the theme works again.

I know I tried turning all plugins off a couple days ago -- must've been before I had all the lat/lon data input for EACH map post item.

Now I need to read through old instructions on how to get satellite map as the default display. **Would be nice to select that in the Theme Options Panel.

I know my font sizes and post panel sizes are off as well. I must have tweaked them to what I needed a couple years ago.

Thanks for all your assistance Chris!

Hi there,

Please deactivate additional plugins you have installed to see if that has any impact.

If you still have issues, leave them deactivated and I'll take another look.

Best,

You can view the site now, but it isn't pretty.
A) The category page for the category 'Projects' is set in the menu as .../category/project-map but no map appears, just desc. of category and gray
B) Home page is a static page titled 'Welcome', but no background image appears, just gray
C) Lat/Lon data lost - Don't need that fix - I've re-entered all the lat/lon data, but still no map even on these posts, just gray
D) MORE button is the PLUS sign at bottom rt corner - nothing happens when I click it. I have WIDGETS there that should appear. In fact, on smaller screen size I see that they are viewable when you scroll below the footer and you don't get the plus sign.
E) Sorry, I thought that having the WYSIWYG editor stop working might be a symptom of what has gone wrong with the theme and wp upgrade.

Help!

Hi there,

The link you provided is showing an "under construction" message, so I'm unable to review your site for specific suggestions to address the issues you have...

A & B: Regarding the home page, you'll need to link to the category page in the menu to display the map.

C: Just to clarify, as of version 1.7.0 the custom post options (i.e. lat/long settings, etc) are completely new. The old custom post options data is still on your database, but it's not displayed on the post edit screen.

To view the old custom post options on the post edit screen (in addition to the new custom post options), open functions.php and change the following on lines 119-122 from this...

////////////////////////
//LEGACY CUSTOM POST OPTIONS
////////////////////////
//include(TEMPLATEPATH . '/include/old-post-meta.php');

...to this...

////////////////////////
//LEGACY CUSTOM POST OPTIONS
////////////////////////
include(TEMPLATEPATH . '/include/old-post-meta.php');

After making that change, you should be able to view both the old and new custom post options on the post edit screen.

D. Are you referring to the widgets? If so, those are all controlled from the widgets page.

E. That isn't a theme-related issue.

Best,

Chris

Yesterday I unfortunately felt I was forced to update The Navigator theme (not your fault) because it was locking at load on the spinning wheel. I assume it was a Google Map API update that caused this? Figured this is a good time to do a quick 5-10 minute update of your theme and WordPress 3.8 and then I was going to add a cute holiday plugin to thank my client. But ran into problems, now a working website that I didn't plan on doing anything to this week is out of commission. Help, Here's what I've done to http://www.winwooddesign.com:

1) I moved my old WPNAVIGATOR to WPNAVIGATOR_old for safekeeping
2) I FTP'd entire new theme folder from themeforest download to Themes folder and set that theme as ACTIVE
3) I removed Option Tree plugin -as I read you suggest
4) I clicked Customize / also clicked Theme Options (same thing?) and reset the settings
5) I made sure I have at least 1 blog post in category for blog posts (but not actually using blogging feature on this site)
6) All map posts lost their coordinates - so I reapplied the old theme and found them again and copied them to a document to enter into each post correctly.
7) I went to WP Reading settings and reset my desired STATIC front page to 'Welcome' and Posts page to be the one I want the full map to appear on, 'Project Map'. Is this right. Neither setting works.

PROBLEMS I'VE DETECTED SO FAR
A) the homepage background image won't appear (even though I reset that too)gray background only
B) the map doesn't show up, but the intro dialog for the map does. gray background only
C) the posts did not retain their lat/lon, zoom settings. (I re-entered them by hand) but gray background only
D) the MORE button doesn't work any longer to display content kept inside there - where are these settings customized?
E) editing PAGE or POST only shows HTML text editor - option for WYSIWIG editing is now gone

Thanks for your help with Navigator theme over the years - Todd
