Thanks Chris,

The plugin didn't work. I'm going to have to wait until I get it over to DreamHost to see if it'll work over there.

Hi there,

I don't recall any issues with DreamHost. This issue only seems to appear on Windows servers. I haven't seen any users report this issue with a Unix server.

One other thing to try is this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-dates/

Let me know if that helps at all.

Best,

Chris

Chris --

Is there a way to resolve this with the theme or the webhost (just in case they don't want to host the site with my personal stuff)?

Also, they are talking about moving the hosting from LunarPages (where it currently is) to DreamHost, have DreamHost users had similar issues?

You bet! :-)

If you're enjoying the theme, PLEASE don't forget to rate it on your downloads page on ThemeForest. Positive ratings REALLY help me out.

Thanks!

Chris --

1. I found that! Thanks so much.

2. I uploaded the theme to a site with a different host than the one we use at work (we use Lunar Pages, and I use HostGator for non-work stuff) and the backdating works like a dream. Now I just have to talk the office into switching to HostGator like I've been advocating for a while.

Thanks man!

Jason

Hi there,

1. On the post edit page, click "screen options" in the upper right corner and check the appropriate boxes to display elements that are not visible for you.

2. This may be a hosting-related issue that prevents you from changing the date like that. Do you happen to know what kind of server you're on? Windows? Linux? Other?

Let me know.

Best,

Chris

Hi there --

I just bought the Curator and I'm excited to use it for a museum website I am building.

I watched the handy YouTube videos with the walkthrough and posting tutorials and thought "hey, this will be easy".

And then I started working up posts.

The first thing that I noticed is that the excerpt box and a few other options that are shown on the screen aren't visible to me when posting. I'm not entirely sure why that is. The add a post page just features the standard wordpress look with a small section to add the video URLs. Nothing about an excerpt or how to limit discussion. That is frustrating.

The next issue that I've had is that Wordpress is not letting me backdate a post. Right now, if I entered a new post with the year of 1738, it automatically corrects me and puts the date back to 2014. This is maddening.

Anyways, I thought that I'd ask some questions first, I'm on a deadline and really hoping that this can be resolved soon. Hopefully this is just me being an imbecile and nothing deeper. Thanks.
