I maybe missing something very simple here. What is the correct workflow for dropping an image into a post or page, so that the image will size correctly for the device it's being viewed on, and so that when clicked it'll open in the prettyphoto lightbox? I feel like this is probably intended default behavior I'm not getting somehow.

What I'm constantly getting: I add an image to a post or page. The image always shows at its original size, regardless of device (e.g. way too big for a phone); clicking the image opens an empty lightbox icon -- image not found-type thing.

While I'm at it, is there an ideal image size to upload? Big enough for the largest (typical) display size but not bigger than necessary?
