Hi there,

The full screen gallery only appears if there are images attached to the post. If you want to insert an image to the post/page without showing in the gallery, be sure to upload it from the media upload page (not from the post "add new" upload button). Uploading images from the media page will allow you to add content without attaching them to a specific post, which is how the gallery feature is automatically created.

In other words, visit the "add new media" page and upload your image there, then on the post/page edit screen, navigate the media library to add your featured image.

Hi!

I would like to add a small profile picture on my "contact" page", but I can't really figure out how to do it without it being blown up and attached to the full-screen gallery.

Is this even possible, and if, how?
