Hi did this come together? This would be really helpful for our site. Also would like to be able to ensure my mailing list sign up widget appears on the event pages.

So I'd like to use custom fields to add to the small meta section. For instance, I created a new custom field for the cost of an event (i.e. Key=Cost, Value=$8.00). I'm figuring I need to stick some version of <?php the_meta(); ?> in the "small meta" section of single.php but I can't quite figure out how to do it without also calling the map link. I can handle styling it up, if you happen to be able to tell me how to call an individual custom field.

I sure would appreciate it. BTW, "cost" seems like a pretty universal data item and maybe worth adding in by default? Just a thought.
