Just some info:
- I have modded post layout and i have set the gallery tab open by default;
- If u have 1 only image (featured image for example) the gallery tab vanish and the description tab was open by default
- I have add a link to "give direction info" directly as tab (visible only if the address was set)
- I have implemented code to have different zoom for each category
- I have removed the Business POI from google map
- I have implemented a custom version of post mash to set the center of the map controllable ( by default the map set the center on last article posted )
- I have implemented a lot of css code to have the icons on main menù

Thanks for the nice compliment. I've been working hard to get it adjusted the way I want it to look.

I will definitely try the child theme before any updates to the theme come along. sounds like the way to go with it.

Those sliding boxes are impressive. You sure it's a plugin or did he do some tweaking of the code to make that work?

The thing with the child theme is really cool, especially that I am looking forward to updates of The Navigator.
What you could do is create your child theme, and than paste your entire current copy of style.css into the child. This way, you could get the updates (if any... I'm waiting since months...!), but would not loose your work. Ok, maybe you'd have to change some things in the child in order to get the updates rolling, as they would be most probably overwritten by the child.

It's not difficult to make one; I did it pretty fast, and I'm not an expert, as you could figure out so far for yourself :)
Backup is something I always worry about... I haven't done it yet, as I did not figure out how to do it, so far.

I did not find the plugin so far, but I'd really love those on my site too.

Actually, I don't know much about "child themes" yet. Just read something about them the other day. Sounds like a smart way to go to protect all the changes made to the code.

I'm not sure what I'll do when a theme upgrade comes along. Maybe just skip it. I do back up my entire site regularly though - just in case disaster strikes.

It would take me forever to redo all the changes I have made so far just to get the site looking the way I would like for it to look.

Wasn't very difficult.

go to "edit" and do this in all three of these files:

script.php, script_list.php, single.php

Look for

scrollwheel:false

and change it to

scrollwheel:true

Seems to function ok (so far), but as always it is
best to make a back up before changing any code.

Hey there,

You're going to need to open your Style.css file. Then, you're going to find the following 'classes':

zoomControl
zoomOut

If you play around with the margin-right you should be able to adjust those two items to be more in the center of your footer. You'll need to be careful when doing this, so please make a back-up of your file first.

It's a mess at the moment. Still trying to come to grips with how everything interacts.
At this stage of the game, I'm just tweaking the site to get it to look the way I want it to look. Not a "coder" so searching for what to change to make the adjustments is a slow process for me.

Is it possible to add labels to the zoom and the map toggle switch so that it is a little more obvious what they are?

Also, how can I reposition them so that they appear in the center of the footer?
