YEAH!!!! Thanks - The default WordPress 'Hello' post was the culprit of the three test posts I currently have. It had no lat/lon data. I tagged it as 'Blog Post' (which I am using for my non mapped type of posts) and my map defaulted to the general area of my 'Mapped' posts.

France is the center of the map, so if you're seeing that as the focus (and you don't have markers in France), that means there are items on the map that do not have proper map data.

Please make sure that any posts appearing on the map are (1) not suppose to be in the "blog" category and (2) have longitude/latitude data associated with them.

Let me know if that helps.

Just bought your The Navigator today for a unique site I am creating, but running into big problems right away.

I can't get a default position to appear on the map - it always shows someplace in France(on the E11). You'd think this could be set to one of the entered in 'map post' items I have created. Like a FEATURED MAP/POST maybe? Any instuctions? I have one map post on my site now so far and yes the map does go there when clicked. Also the zoom in or out buttons dont' work on the default map and the satellite/roadmap button is also broken on the default map. Those buttons DO work when viewing my one post location. Ideas?

I noticed that there's a default map position if I don't have a post visible...

I tend to communicate visually, so here's what I've done and how it shows in visual form -- http://www.coastalcoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/molit_questionmap.png

The site is at http://www.coastalcoms.com/ocparks

I want the map image in the background of the home page to default to a location I set.

Thanks for any pointers. If you're curious what's behind the login - here's a screen cap: http://www.coastalcoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/molit_videosample.jpg

AWESOME theme for what we needed to do. We've added tool tips and things throughout. Might give you a holler for a few quick additions (like a secondary popup div blah blah) but listen --- NICE idea here, and loving the full screen usage.

Thanks!
