Hi there,

The map is used automatically by default when you have the check box checked and no custom image uploaded. The map image itself is located in the images directory of the theme.

Regarding the slider, the process hasn't changed, so it's still (1) create a slider category, (2) create a post with a featured image, (3) assign post to the slider category and (4) assign the featured category to the slider on the Customize page.

Chris, that would help if the map background was there by default, but it doesn't appear to be. Under the Custom Background Pattern mine also says, "No Image." Neither map nor other. Where do I find the graphic for the parallax map? Also, tried to follow directions to create Slider category and Featured Posts for slider pics, but nothing is happening. Am confused about process because have not seen directions for most recent version of WP.

I thought you had a great walkthrough video for Wordpress Aid, till I found out that you dumped the Option Tree plug-in and my Customize doesn't seem to have a box to check to display the parallax map background, I bought the theme because of that! (cannot find the map in any folders even in the full zipped file?) I just get a red box and a garbled menu when I install. I will re-do my menu, but I need to get the slider up. Please give step-by-step current protocols.

To remove the slider title info, add the following to your Custom CSS box on the customize page...

ul.pxs_slider h2 {display: none;}

To remove the slider indicators, add the following to your Custom CSS box on the customize page...

ul.pxs_thumbnails {display: none;}

To remove the meta info on the post page, add the following to your Custom CSS box on the customize page...

#metaStuff {display: none;}

Hi there! First of all great theme!

Is there a way to turn off the new text on the slider showing the post name? Also can you remove or move the advance indicator (the little dots)?

Also on posts, underneath the content there is a box showing the published date, poster name, modified date, and filed under. Any way to turn this off as well?
