Hi there,

The gallery system is a built-in WordPress feature and isn't specific to this theme. Since these forums are really only intended for theme-specific issues and troubleshooting, for general WordPress questions and support I have to refer you to the WordPress support forums: http://wordpress.org/support

Also, here is some more info about the gallery shortcode....

WordPress Codex: http://codex.wordpress.org/Gallery_Shortcode
WP Tuts Article: http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/the-wordpress-gallery-shortcode-a-comprehensive-overview/

Hope you understand. Thanks!

Hello! I had a quick follow-up question pertaining to galleries. Here is the gallery I'm working on: http://ckstrategies.com/testing/our-work/
These are all images of flyer mailers, so each mailer project is double-sided, so it has 2 images. Right now, every image in that gallery is separated—So the 1st image you see there is one side of a flyer, the next image is the back-side of that same flyer, and so on. Ideally, I'd like to double them up (so the backside doesn't have it's own thumbnail image). Does this make sense? I'm not sure how this would work, however. Would each project have to technically be its own "gallery"?

Please let me know if I am being unclear!!

Thank you so much!!
Renessa

Thanks the plugin worked! As for the lightbox, I'm on a 27" screen with my window full size, so it's not an issue of the browser being too small....Do you think I should change the script with the code you gave me?

Thank you!!!

Hi there,

1. The size for gallery images is controlled on the "settings" > "media" page. You'll want to adjust the "Thumbnail size". Keep in mind, changes made there do not apply to images you already uploaded. To change the images you already uploaded, you'll need to use the "regenerate thumbnails" plugin --> http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

2. If you see a "full size" link, that means your browser window isn't large enough to view the entire image. For me, when I click your images, I see the full size because my browser window is 1440x1000. This is how the lightbox script works. I recommend keeping this functionality, but you can adjust it by opening "scripts.js" and locating the following on lines 558-570...

//PRETTY PHOTO
jQuery("a[href$='jpg'],a[href$='png'],a[href$='gif']").attr({rel: "prettyPhoto[pp_gal]"});
jQuery("a[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto({
	animationSpeed: 'normal', /* fast/slow/normal */
	padding: 40, /* padding for each side of the picture */
	opacity: 0.35, /* Value betwee 0 and 1 */
	showTitle: false, /* true/false */
	allowresize: true, /* true/false */
	counter_separator_label: ' of ', /* The separator for the gallery counter 1 "of" 2 */
	theme: 'facebook', /* light_rounded / dark_rounded / light_square / dark_square */
	hideflash: true, /* Hides all the flash object on a page, set to TRUE if flash appears over prettyPhoto */
	modal: false /* If set to true, only the close button will close the window */
});

Change allowresize from "true" to "false"

Thanks!

Chris

Hello!

Just a couple of questions regarding gallery images.

1. I am using 3 columns in a gallery: http://ckstrategies.com/testing/our-work/ I would like to make the thumbnail images larger. I see the dimensions of 162 x 162 when I inspect it in Chrome, but I don't see where/how to alter that size.

2. When you click on an image, it pops up as a smaller preview of the full-size image (I see where you can click the icon on the top-right to blow it up to full size). I want to skip right to the full-size image in the pop-up. How can I do that?

Many many thanks!!
