Hi There,

Further to my previous message, please check the PRESS gallery page : http://www.bidaning.com/workinprogress/?page_id=241#homeBox
I have also uploaded the pictures in the translated version of this gallery page, but it doesn't work.
When looking at the source code of the page you will see the following message although its not visible:

<div id="galleryBox" class="boxStuff">
You need to upload images to this page to show a gallery here.
</div>

Please advice

Regards

Hi There,

Few issues:

1) the home page now doesn't load.

2) the color of the text on the top right navigation bar (CRUMBS) is not white as the Theme DEMO. (despite I followed the suggestions)... Cannot find the where to fix it.

3) Still testing the WPML plug in.... all normal pages are fine. The major problem is that when switching between english and chinese in each gallery, the translated version is not visible, like if the translated version doesn't grasp the gallery page. Also in the tranlsted version there is no "THUMB" icon.

Please advice

Thanks

Hi Justin, Thanks!

I almost finishing testing my new website. So far I am quite happy about the result.

Still few more issues:

1) I created a page (named FOLIO) which contains 2 galleries. I have reduced the spacing between text and text in the main menu, so the drop menu of the "FOLIO" page steps on the text below and the 2 galleries cannot open. Any suggestion how to move this drop menu on the right side of the "FOLIO" text, so the "child" galleries can open?

2) I am testing also the WPML Plug in.I noticed in this forum that Chris Molitor was interested in this test :-). It seems to work, although there are few problems that I am dealing with the support from WMPL team. I'd like your opinion anyway on the following:
a)The bottom navigation bar from WMPL interfere with the PhotoPharm navigation bar containing the name of each photo in each gallery.
Is there any solution to move this bar a bit higher, so the 2 nav bars don't interfere with each other.
( please consider that I add the following string in the Style.css in Photopharm theme

#lang_sel_footer { bottom: 0; position: fixed; width: 100%;}

b)When switching between english and chinese in each gallery, the translated version is not visible, like if the translated version doesn't grasp the gallery page.

Please let me know and thanks for your help

Regards

Hey there,

3) You can only change the Menu colors in your Style.CSS file in one spot. If you want to change the text color for generic text, I'll show you below. Both of these can be done in Appearance > Theme Options > General > Custom CSS(Optional):

#dropmenu li a {color: red;}
p {color: insert-color}

4) If you do this then you can't use your menu! That's not a good idea...

5) Size your logo WAY down before uploading it. Do this is Illustrator (assuming your logo is Vector). It looks grainy because Wordpress is attempting to size it down, while using Illustrator is much better of a tool.

Hi Justin,

I think I solved my previous question related to TEMS OF USE (probably the cache).

Still working on the following:

3) How to change the font colors on the main menu and on each single page. You can check my website (although not finished yet) at http://www.bidaning.com/workinprogress

4) Also how to redirect to the actual Home page when clicking on the "house" icon ? (I have seen this question in this forum, but the solution has not been shared.

5) the logo quality looks rather low (the file is a PNG 1635x300 pixel and 300dpi
Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance for your advice

Regards

Hi Justin,

Thanks! It works well to risize the spacing and the font size!... and no more problem with the copyright string. Still a little problem with the color of page title in the main menu...

In fact, I would like to keep all the menu font color white, both when the main menu appears on the screen when opening the website for the first time and later on during the navigation. At the moment on the main menu only the HOME page title appears in white, all the other pages title are purple (including the webpage title - "breadcrumbs" - on the top right site of the screen).
How to change everything in white?

2 more couple of problems that happened recently:

I added a new page (TERMS OF USE) after an initial list of pages, but the title doesn't appear on the main menu when opening the website. Somehow it appears later on during the navigation. What's wrong, where should I look for to fix it?

Also how can I change the title color in each page (when I am actually looking at the page?)

Please let me know and thanks for your support.

Regards

1) In your Style.CSS file, find this and edit the font size and reduce line-height:

#dropmenu li a {
display: block;
line-height: 40px;
font-size: 10px;
text-transform: uppercase;
}

2) Adjusting your spacing should resolve this.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi there,

Great theme, now I have to make it work!

I went through the forum, but couldn't find answers to the following:

1) how to change font size, color and spacing in the main menu

2) if the menu has many pages, the text overlaps on the copyright string. Is it possible to change location of this string, and add a "terms of use" text that links to another page (and the related content). It is OK for me also if the copyright string is located on the bottom left of the home page and appears also in all the other pages.

Thanks in advance

Regards
