Sorry but I dont understand!
Why has to be thal URL. There are 2 uploads asociated to the category of the slider of the home. Links here:
http://connectingevents.com.ar/slide-4/
http://connectingevents.com.ar/slide-5/

Can it be a problem related to the permanent Links?
When I edit this, that message show up: If your file. Htaccess have write permissions changes would be made automatically, but if not, here are the mod_rewrite rules you must manually add to your. Htaccess. Click the text area and press CTRL + COMMAND + a year to select all.

Thanks a lot!!!! =)

Hi there,

Nothing is showing on page 2 when you load that by itself, so that is why the slider is not working (there is no content there) --> http://connectingevents.com.ar/page/2/

You need to have at least 2 items in the main category for it to load properly. If you do and you still don't see anything on that second page, that has to do with your WordPress installation (i.e. not a theme-related issue). The theme doesn't have any control over displaying content on paginated pages like that page 2 link.

Hope that helps!

Hi there,
Looking at your site (thanks for providing a link!), it appears there is a script conflict. Try deactivating any additional plugins you have installed to see if that addresses the issue. If you still have trouble, please use my support forums: http://themolitor.com/forums
Thanks!

Chris and Justin, thanks again for all the help.

Not sure if this would make a difference...
The first time we installed the Nocturnal theme on our Yahoo site, we also uploaded the "demo_content.xml" file that came with the package. After we explored the theme for awhile, we then used Yahoo's "Deactivate" feature to remove the theme, then re-installed it by uploading the entire .zip package again.

Could this have something to do with our problem?

Thanks Chris for the time spent on this. Again, we really want to use this theme.

A Yahoo Tech Support rep said that their Wordpress installations typically are installed into a "blog" subdirectory. We've re-installed the theme, and the directory structure looks consistent with our other Yahoo site installations.

When we first load the http://www.sandhandle.com home page, the Main Slider arrows display links of:
Right Arrow - http://sandhandle.com/blog/page/2/
Left Arrow - http://www.sandhandle.com/page/3

We see what you mean about the difference.

If we right-click the Right Arrow (which reads http://sandhandle.com/blog/page/2/) to open it in a new tab, it works.

If we right-click the Left Arrow (which reads http://www.sandhandle.com/page/3) it takes us to a "404-Not Found" page.

Also, if we use the Right Arrow to load the next page into a new tab, it works until we try to navigate back using the left arrow. Upon landing on the first page, the link displayed by the Left Arrow becomes;
http://sandhandle.com/blog/page/2/page/3
And on clicking it, the Main Slider area goes blank again.

It all definitely seems to be tied into the "blog" addition to the URL.

I know you've gone way above and beyond in helping us with this, and it doesn't help that we're fairly inexperienced with site setup and design. But if you can offer us any other advice about how to resolve these issues, it'll be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi there,

This is a very odd issue. I haven't had it reported before, so I'm think it has something to do with your particular setup.

So far, my best guess is that it somehow involves the URL structure. When I'm on
"sandhandle.com"
the arrow link shows
"sandhandle.com/blog/page/2"
when it should show
"sandhandle.com/page/2"
.

See the difference? It's including the "blog" in there, which might be throwing things off.

My best recommendation is to make sure you're properly pointing your URL the correct way as directed here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

Hope that helps!

Hi Chris & Justin,

We're still having problems with our installation of Nocturnal at: http://www.sandhandle.com

(Yahoo gave us a PHP fix for the URL problem we we're having.)

Clicking the Main Slider navigation arrows (in either direction) leaves a blank Main Slider area.

We've re-installed the theme three times.

We're hosted by Yahoo and using the latest in PHP and MySQL.

We've checked it using the latest versions of Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Opera on the Macintosh, and Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari on Windows 7. We've cleared the caches on all the browsers.

We've tried different arrangements of posts and different Category names.

By the way, If we click the "More..." link of the first post on the Home page, then the navigation arrows work correctly. But they don't "loop," we can only navigate forward, then backward. Then, when we return to the Home page, the navigation arrows don't function again.

If we right-click a navigation arrow on the Home page and choose "Load in New Window," we're able to to navigate through the Main Slider sequence once, then we encounter the same problem with the Main Slider disappearing completely.

Also, this may sound crazy, but some of our students say that, sometimes when first loaded, the theme will work correctly for one run-through, then starts to exhibit the same problems.

Please advise. Thank you. Don Jordan

P.S. We'll be glad to provide you with our admin info if it'll help to see it from the inside.

We're still having problems with the Main Slider. We removed the post that you indicated might be causing the problem. We deleted all posts other than new ones that we've created. We've checked to make sure that all Permalinks are correct for the new posts. We've re-arranged and added other posts, and we think we've correctly applied Dates, Categories and Tags.

But our Main Slider still still displays only the first and last post assigned to the Featured category. You can view our site at...
http://www.sandhandle.com/blog/

Clicking the navigation arrows to go to Featured post #2 (Vicki Hinze - Destined to Thrill...), or backwards to Featured post #3, still results in a blank Main Slider area. We have to click the HOME link to return to the main page.

If we click the "More..." link at the bottom of the description for the 1st Main post, we're then able to navigate through the other posts using the Main slider navigation arrows. But then if we click the "Featured" link at the bottom of the description of any of those posts, we're then taken into a 2-up display of posts.

BTW, we're also still experiencing the problem of FireFox (Macintosh) not displaying the white navigation arrows for either the Main Slider or the Mini Slider.

We appreciate any help you can provide and again thank you for your work.

Hi there,

It appears there might be something wrong with that initial post. If you right click the arrow and load the link in a new tab, it works just fine until it hits that post. Have you tried temporarily deactivating it to see if the issue continues?

Best,

Chris

We're using an iMac with OS 10.6 and the latest versions of Safari, FireFox and Chrome. We currently have 6 posts assigned to the Featured category which is designated as our Category for Home Posts in the Theme Options. In Firefox, the Main Slider navigation works but the Left and Right navigation arrows are visible. (The rectangular area underneath highlights, just no visible arrows.) BTW, in FireFox, the navigation arrows also don't display under the Mini-Slider.

In Safari, the navigation arrows appear, but the Main Slider displays only the first image and the last image. If the arrows are clicked again, the entire Main Slider featured image disappears. (We click the Home link to return to the first Featured post.) If we change the date on our posts to make a different post the earliest by date, it then becomes the new 1st post used by the Main Slider, but the in-between posts still don't appear.

Chrome behaves the same as Safari--the in-between posts don't display.

Our site is under construction at: http://www.sandhandle.com/blog

Can you point us in the right direction for trouble-shooting? Thanks, Don Jordan
