I have a website running at anthonybolding.uk. The countdown works fine in Firefox but when I try on my iPad using Safari or Chrome I get NaN against the time.
Is there a solution?

I have recently purchased the Politico theme. I am trying to utilize the separator to divide content on a static page and it is not delaying. I have also tried to use HTML for a horizontal rule with the same issue, it does not display. Is there somewhere in the theme that I can change to allow them to display? If I switch themes they display properly.

When you go there, you will see that (under my logo) there is the banner area that is pink in color (upper and lower gradients set to match each other in color), but inside there is the slider and the blog posts are showing up there. I don’t want them to show up there. I have a page for “blog posts”, and I’m just fine with a person having to click on that to go to the posts.

Can I stop the slider from working? I have it set for “0” images, but that did nothing. Also, if I could set the banner area to be not as tall/high, that’d be great too. I notice that my making font size requests in WP panel for Pages has NO EFFECT on the final result. I can ask for “heading 2” all day long, and when I hit publish... it’s still the regular size font. Is that a known issue?

Unable to post to left side under slider, Right side is no problem to post Widgets or whatever and the footer is no problem, but how do I post in the Middle where it will show a continued button.

I am currently configuring the Politico template. I have posted some Posts with no problem. Now, in trying to publish pages, but I get a 404 on all new pages. The only page that works is the Sample Page. If I change permalinks to plain, it works and pages are loading fine, but if I switch it back to Post Name, I get a 404. Please note that for Posts everything works fine. The issue is just with Pages.

Getting the following error at the top of the page when I attempt to add a page/post:

What calendar plugins are known to work with this theme? I currently have The Events Calendar installed, but I get error messages when you click on an event. I would like to find a similar plugin that will offer a full page calendar but without the error messages.

I manage the site bjerrehoj.dk.
Currently running PHP 5.6 (I believe).

Its placed at unoeuro.
All ahve been updated to PHP 7. I have to option to downgrade, which I have used.

If its running PHP7, I gte this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'new' (T_NEW) in /var/www/bjerrehoj.dk/public_html/wp-content/themes/wppolitico/option-tree/ot-loader.php on line 389

This doesn't tell me so much.

What can i do/Should I do?

Could you point me to a simple video or explanation of how to activate the slider and insert content into the Politico theme? I'm totally at a loss to understand where to turn it on and how to insert content.

Also, we have tried to center the photo on my website but can't seem to get it (yes, we turned off the sidebar). No matter what we do, it just won't center on a browser. Directions to do this would be welcome.

I purchased your theme in 2010. I went to my themeforest as I realized I'd not received any updates for quite a long time and the theme is not showing in my purchased list. Can you please help me? I really need an updated version as my old theme is having issues.

Paypal integrates by a form, not just a link. I found a 3-year old solution in this forum suggesting you create a hidden page where you would host the paypal form/button, but that introduces an extra click and confusion for visitors.

Is there any way to cause the donate now button that is a part of this theme to take the user directly to the paypal page?

I have implemented a paypal donate button on my site in the sidebar, but this is not ideal; I would rather use the button that is a part of the theme and just "turn it on"

The title says it all, I'm using the politico theme and I just need to know how to center the main menu at the top. It is currently too far to the left. Thanks.

I have had this theme for a few years and it been rocking along fine. I recently wanted to add Google Analytics to the site but do not find an area in the theme built in for GA. Is there a preferred plugin that will play nice with this theme? I've had issues with others on other sites and want to make sure I get it right. Thanks.

I have made the logo image 90 pixels high; I will be replacing it with a better image, same dimensions, but what I really want to do is get rid of all the unnecessary whitespace between the logo and the navigation bar. How can I bring the logo up to the top and the navigation up to almost touch the logo so the horizontal rule and navigation is approximately 100 pixels from the top of the screen?

Politico shows all posts on the home page except for the posts that appear in the slider (to avoid duplicate content). This is standard behavior for a post listing on the home page of a WordPress theme. If you want to filter the categories to only display certain posts, you'll need to make the following edit...

1. Open "index.php" and locate the following on line 12...
   

   query_posts('cat=-'. $category .'&paged='.$paged);

2. Change it to the following, replacing "XXXX" with the category ID you want to filter...
   

   query_posts('cat=-'. $category .',XXXX&paged='.$paged);

   (Notice the addition of the "," and "XXXX")

3. Single category filter example:
   

   query_posts('cat=-'. $category .',12&paged='.$paged);

4. Multiple category filter example:
   

   query_posts('cat=-'. $category .',12,15,28&paged='.$paged);

To locate the ID of the category you want to filter, navigate to your categories page and hover your cursor over the category title (don't click it). In the status bar, you'll see the URL of the link and towards the end you'll see the ID value.

I installed a plugin called 'Child Theme Configurator' but when trying to create the child theme I got:

This theme may not apply child theme styles correctly with the current settings:

A stylesheet link tag is hard-coded into the header template.
Code exists between the wp_head() function and the closing </head> tag.

I really need to create child theme so my stylesheet edits do not get overwritten. Recommended plugin to do this???

Hi Chris! I was wondering if there is any reason why the form maker we are using does not work consistently with my theme? We are using Form Maker and our volunteer coordinator really likes the form. When we had your older version of Politico theme, we used Contact Form 7, but had to change when it stopped working with that version -- we needed a form asap and so switched to another plugin. I have deactivated Contact Form 7 that came with the new theme but am still having problems with our form. Also, Shortcodes Ultimate absolutely does not work with the new theme. I have deactivated some plugins to see if we can get that functionality going, but so far -- nothing. It's making my job a lot harder. Any idea why that might be happening?

I have set the end date for the countdown to be 2015/11/04 12:00 AM. In the customization page, it shows correctly as 222 days and X hours. However, when I hit 'save' and look at the site, it shows 2106 days. Any suggestions???

Installed a audio gallery plugin that says it is uptodate with latest WP.
