I have a website running at anthonybolding.uk. The countdown works fine in Firefox but when I try on my iPad using Safari or Chrome I get NaN against the time.
Is there a solution?

I have recently purchased the Politico theme. I am trying to utilize the separator to divide content on a static page and it is not delaying. I have also tried to use HTML for a horizontal rule with the same issue, it does not display. Is there somewhere in the theme that I can change to allow them to display? If I switch themes they display properly.

Also, please keep in mind your support services have expired (you purchased 7 years ago).

Try adding the following to your Custom CSS box on the Customize page (appearance > customize)...

body.home #sliderContainer {
    display: none;
}

Regarding font size, be sure your targeting the CSS properly and entering your styling in the Custom CSS box. If your CSS is not working, you'll need to target the element as much as you can using parent containers.

If you need some direction with this, please be specific on which text you're trying to adjust and I'll see if I can provide a solution for you.

When you go there, you will see that (under my logo) there is the banner area that is pink in color (upper and lower gradients set to match each other in color), but inside there is the slider and the blog posts are showing up there. I don’t want them to show up there. I have a page for “blog posts”, and I’m just fine with a person having to click on that to go to the posts.

Can I stop the slider from working? I have it set for “0” images, but that did nothing. Also, if I could set the banner area to be not as tall/high, that’d be great too. I notice that my making font size requests in WP panel for Pages has NO EFFECT on the final result. I can ask for “heading 2” all day long, and when I hit publish... it’s still the regular size font. Is that a known issue?

The slider order is based on the post publish date. You can manually change the publish date to control the order of posts (most recently published appears first).

Example: http://seorave.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/update-wordpress-post-save-publish-date-change.png

You can also "comment out" that line to disable it without removing it (making it easier to reapply later) like this...

//query_posts('cat=-'. $category .'&paged='.$paged);

Notice the added "//" to disable that line of code.

With the home page, because there is a slider of posts at the top of the page, those posts are omitted from the list of posts below to prevent duplicate content on the page, which Google does not like.

If you do not have enough posts to populate the list section below the slider, then you can disable this feature until you have more posts. To disable it, remove the following in index.php on line 10...

query_posts('cat=-'. $category .'&paged='.$paged);

The line being referenced in functions.php is attempting to grab the category for the post being displayed (all posts have a category assigned). If you're getting an error, that indicates to me that you're trying to load a non-standard post.

Can you provide a link to the post page with this error message?

Thanks. I decided to install it on top of my existing site as a new template. The permalink issue is resolved, pages load ok, bust post show no content (exerpts work fine of home page). When I turn on debug, this is the error on the bottom of the post page:

Permalink issues like this are usually the result of hosting permissions. To my knowledge this is not something that can be caused/fixed from my end.

My best suggestion is to contact your hosting provider regarding permalink permissions.

Hi there,

I am currently configuring the Politico template. I have posted some Posts with no problem. Now, in trying to publish pages, but I get a 404 on all new pages. The only page that works is the Sample Page. If I change permalinks to plain, it works and pages are loading fine, but if I switch it back to Post Name, I get a 404. Please note that for Posts everything works fine. The issue is just with Pages.
