Have installed Church and the demo content. Rather than the right column accordion style menu shown on the demo site I get a bulleted list without any indentation for sub-menu items. The bulleted list also overlaps the content area. The problem can be seen at http://new.stanps.ca/ Note: I have not installed the demo data at that location, just on my Ampps stack installation but the installation of the demo data did not change that menu.

For our website (mizpahbaptist.org), in the sidebar I have our Service Times set to always remain open on the homepage. I don't recall if you had that as default for the Church-WP theme or if I found it on your forum somewhere. Well my question is, is it possible to have 2 of the widgets open on the homepage? I would like the Service Times and the Random Photos widgets open all the time for the homepage at least and leave the other widgets closed. Our site needs more photos and I thought this would be one way to provide that to our congregation.

Thanks again for such an amazing theme. Really wish I could grasp the concept of css and wordpress coding as easy as I learned html many years ago. I've tried and read and tried more and I just can't seem to permanently grasp it. I've always hand coded simple html sites so this is my first time using Wordpress and I keep learning more and more as it expands its functionality.

Hello again,

I went to visit my site which has this theme installed (wp-church) and the header image isn't showing. However, it does show when i am in the theme customizer ("[mywebsite.com]/wp-admin/customize.php?theme=wpchurch&return=......."). Why is this. I've read some of the other threads and comments and understand that there may be restrictions with the provider (Bluehost in my case), but I didn't know if this theme was compatible with the most current version of Wordpress.

Thanks,
Atlantic Gospel Chapel Team

PS - Apologies if this ends up being another situation where "the theme works for the person who made it but not for the end user" type of situation.

http://kennedybaptist.org

We are using version 6 of the WP Church theme. Actually a child theme based on it but I have tested and I see the same behavior with the WP Church version 6 theme.

After doing some edits we are seeing two categories listed in the two sections below the feature slider.
It is showing "Featured, News and Event" and "Featured, Pastor's Blog". I can change either section to a category other than "News & Events" or "Pastor's Blog" and it will just show the one category I set it to.

Again, this began after I was doing some post edits, changing the category on some posts...Can't trace it back to a particular change.

Any idea what might be going on?

In addition to major code improvements and featured image support, theme options are now controlled by the WordPress theme customizer.

The old theme options setup have been completely removed, so updating should be a breeze. Theme options are accessible from "appearance" > "customize"

TO UPDATE THE THEME:

Download the latest version of the theme from your downloads page on ThemeForest.

Using an FTP tool, navigate to the themes folder in your WordPress installation.

yourdomain.com > wordpress folder > wp-content > themes

Replace the old theme folder with the new one via FTP.

You'll need to re-enter your theme settings on the theme customizer page.

Hi
I have Version 5 of the Church theme, which I believe allows use of Custom Menus. I see that this works by just using the word "main", and that the theme picks it up. However when I do that, the nav bar looses all formatting. Currently, by using your default system, it shows your formatting, which is great. When I use custom menus, it moves the menu up, and shows it just as text. Any ideas please?

I've tried to setup this theme on WP 3.5 with existing data, a new 3.5 site and finally a NEW 3.4.2 site and I'm getting the same results:
- the search box breaks the right hand menus
- changing the colors under the admin menu for the theme has no affect
- excluding categories isn't actually excluding anything
- no wide page support?

I have worked out the logo, discovered that moving the search box out of the way allows the menu to work, etc. It's a great looking theme, I just need help getting it working!

I've setup plenty of other themes without this much trouble - I must be missing something simple but I've read the help!.txt 5 times, the plugin referenced in the doc is installed and active and I'm not seeing any apparent errors.

Unfortunately this is a VM running locally so there is no public URL. I can send screenshots... I would appreciate any help or at least somebody else confirming issues.

I simply cannot add categories and it's driving me nuts. I have one category "News & Events" and I try to add more categories by filling in the appropriate fields under "Add New Category" and then I click the "Add New Category" button and nothing. It won't add it. Can you help? hickmanroadchurchofchrist.org.

Thanks!

I have just added the Events Calendar plugin to my WP site. Couple of issues I am having: for some reason the background of the calendar page is showing the list/links to all of the pages of my site...(very small font in the upper left hand corner of the page - they are actually working links) secondly - I would like the frontend user to view the calendar verson not the list version of the events - I did select the calendar choice from the setting - but it keep going back to the list format when I veiw the event. So again, I am using the Themeforest WP Church theme and have loaded the Events Calendar plugin. Hope you can help me. Thank you very much!!

i recently purchased this theme for our church website and am having a hard time getting it set up. After several attempts, i got the theme to upload without receiving the cs style error. However, what I downloaded does not look like the preview template. I am not getting all the categories in the navigation bar nor the side panel options. The website is http://www.brbconline.org.
