I created a post with a hyperlink within the text "READ MORE." However, when I view the post in the category carousel, it doesn't link to the specified URL and the post itself only links back to the homepage rather than to the actual post page.

I thought maybe it was a post problem, so I created a new page with the same text and hyperlinked the text "READ MORE." Same problem.

Please advise.

The title says it all. The play button works, but the icon doesn't show up for any of my videos, on all pages.

I can't seem to get the cast/crew, news, and other category views to display like your sample. I have your sample content loaded for cast/crew, but when I go to the display page it displays the cast/crew BIG and it adds a play button. I'd like to see it how you show in your preview. Likewise, if you go to the news page, it doesn't look like your sample.

What am I doing wrong?

We are using Vysual on a bilingual website. We are using the plugin Polylang (https://wordpress.org/plugins/polylang/) to handle translations.

We've found that if the "Load pages with AJAX" option is checked, the site doesn't work as expected: when a user is on a specific page and selects a different language, the site directs the user to the homepage of the selected language, but the site still shows the menu of the previous language.

The expected result is that the user is taken to a new page (or post), with the selected language. The site should display the selected menu's language.

Everything works as expected WITHOUT the option for AJAX page loading, but we would like to have this option since it was something our client liked when she reviewed the theme before purchasing.

Hello, this is a beautiful theme, but I'm having a problem setting up a video page.

I read through the instructions and then created two test pages that use the "Videos Page" page template. One page with a self-hosted MP4 video, and the other page with a test YouTube video.

When these pages load in the front, there are no "play" buttons and no videos.

I disabled all the plugins, and installed the Classic Editor, just in case. But still no videos.

Please advise. I can provide credentials to access the website if needed (it hasn't launch yet, and it is supposed to launch before the end of this week).

I want to display a page (not a post) with a full-screen video similar to what happens on the home page with a sticky video. Can you advise me to the CSS that would allow this to occur? None of the existing page templates give me what I am seeing. Is a separate page template required?

Im using the Vysual theme.
In the them editor, i have added and video link to the page. on PC, it is displayed correctly, but on mobile devices it uses the default image and not the video.

please advise why this is and what the workaround is.

Is there a way to make the footer credit box into hyperlinks? I would like to be able to click on a name in the footer credits and have it open that credit's IMDB page.

I'm having an issue with an unsafe script. My homepage video thumbnails don't load unless you allow the flagged script (in Chrome). In addition, this script does not allow my site to be shared on social media platforms.

I've spoken with Bluehost and they've helped me narrow this down. Here is the report:

I've been suggested to update the URL of the problematic link; however, it's just a Vimeo ID fill in on the Post page.

I installed VYSUAL theme, imported demo content. I tried to change trailer video in Home demo page, but there is no option below the editor form:

PS. I installed Disable Gutenberg plugin.

I went through the steps and created a video page and then inserted a Custom Field vimeo_id, followed the (http://themolitor.com/help/vysual/#postoptions) instructions. I first tried it with a YouTube clip but went lower right instead of full page (I incorrectly used full link). I tried correcting youtube_id but did not work so deleted that field and went with Vimeo ID.

Still completely not right and seems to still have the YouTube video. Please help!

I tried to put a Background Video on the home page but then no audio was playing so I removed it. There still remains a play button though and then when clicked nothing happens. How do I REMOVE the vestigial play button? Thanks!

Just installed and configured the theme in only an hour or two. Just have a few questions as I am unable to resolve below three points:

1) The page https://www.capturefactory.nl/over-capture-factory/ plays a video in the back and no clue how to turn this off. Strange thing is that if you set the page template to standard template or center text template it remains identical (yes caching is off ;)) . Do I need to code it out with custom CSS?

2) On the homepage the video is on auto-repeat, how can you turn that off in theme settings? Crawled the forum but cannot see any similar posts.

3) Home page is set to "gallery" page template with auto-play introduction video. In gallery setting I seem to be unable to add more content underneath, is this correct? Any idea to mitigate this and still keep the intro video as is?

The documentation for the "Video Page" states:

"When using the "Videos Page" page template, the page displays a single video post with play button and title/content in the lower-right corner. There are arrow links to additional video posts. "

Now my question is the following:

Should a video page be just an empty page with a title and set to use the video page template? If not what should it be?

If the video page "displays a single video post" then should one create an empty video page and a post with a video in it? If so I don't see where the video page is "made aware" of which post it should load... would it load randomly (or in sequence) all available video posts? If that's what it would do, can one include or exclude a specific set of video posts?

Thanks in advance for clarifying this... it might be helpful to add clarifications to the documentation so that users will know how video pages and video posts work... what's the dynamic and the specific steps to create a video page to feature one or more videos.

I've made a wordpress site with 6 pages. Now I'd like to put a different fullsize video on every page, as seen on your theme promo video, ...but for any reason it's imposible to me.

Firstly I tried in theme "customize" - "video background" and pasted the link of my video hosted locally. The video worked OK... but it's the same video in ALL pages. I want a DIFFERENT video on every PAGE.

Also tried in the wordpress dashboard, edit page, I chose template "video page" and then pasted a youtube link in the content box... but in this case nothing happens not working at all..

I guess I'm doing something wrong and shouldn't be so complicated... but I can't find the error by myself.

Ps. I haven't installed any pluggin yet, so I can discard any trouble related to pluggins.

In your direction under Gallery Page it says:

"NOTE: You DO NOT need to insert any images or gallery shortcodes into the page content area. Simply upload them to the post and you're done."

How do you upload an image to a post without inserting it into the body of the page?

Video in index.html or images at gallery.html look darker than the original files because there is a weird layer that darkens it. How can I remove or soften it?

I've tried multiple third party plugins that are supposed to add Featured Images to Category pages, but the Vysual theme seems to override all of them. Even if I remove any site-wide features like the shared Header Image or Video Background, they have no effect.

Really, the result I want is to implement a video background on my homepage without it also being the background on Category pages.

I can cancel the video implementation on other pages by using a Featured Image, but since featured images are not a default option for Categories in WP, I effectively can't use the video background option without having it show up places I don't want, for so long as I'm using Category navigation.

Any suggestions?

I have not been able to figure out how to use a youtube video for the popup link in the center of the home page screen. Your support file does not cover the HTML version as far as I can see. Could you please tell me how to have a youtube video pop up like the sample video you have working on the site? I do not want to just have the file on the site as I want to get youtube videos through the site.

I've implemented a pretty straightforward full-screen gallery and tried to view it in Safari on the iPhone.
The gallery, which is a series of 1200x800 images, works fine on desktop. On iPhone, the first thing I notice is the images are scaled to window height, so all my landscape portraits of people are now just big close-ups of noses and other awkward crops. But that's not the problem as such.

The problem is that if I turn the site/phone sideways (landscape) while the gallery is open, then instead of adjusting to the new fixed width, the images scale off infinetly, kind of zooming in to a single pixel, or scaling up exponentially as though the new expanded width were matched by a newly expanded height. So, instead of moving from a tall narrow frame to a short wide frame and fitting accordingly, it's as if the height change were scaled proportionate to the width change, the result being only a magnified crop of the top-left image corner is visible and the gallery navigation and menu are way outside of the visible area.

The gallery ONLY works in landscape if I am *already in* landscape mode when I open it for the first time. Switching while open completely confuses it, destroying the navigation in a way that I can only escape from by reloading or closing the window. After confusing it, it confuses the full-screen background image on other pages too, which just scale endlessly until they settle having formed weird long pages, three times the height of the viewable area. And since clearing the cache on a mobile device is easier said than done, no visitor is going to deal with that.

Thoughts?

Hi, I would like my Home Page to be a Video page, but without the navigation to subsequent posts.

Really, the problem I'm having is that the video thumbnails in my Gallery page do not load after the second page. The videos on the 'front' of the gallery always load the thumbs from Vimeo, but after the 'jump' past the first 5 videos, the thumbnails consistently never load. I realise you state in the FAQ that Vimeo is unrelaiable in how it collects these thumbnails, but Vysual is the common variable here since any video I post in the first 5 always loads.

Anyway, I've presently resolved this by including Featured Images to posts. But I don't want to have to be obliged to include fullscreen 1080p thumbs for every video on my site. So long as navigation is limited via the gallery I can upload 640p thumbs and this is fine for me.

Presently though, my Home Page is a '1st of x' full screen post. I would like it to appear in this format (fullscreen image with video player icon), but without the L/R navigation to other posts? I don't care if I achieve this by generating that page as a post or a page or a category, but that is what I would like.

Additionally, when one creates a Page (not a Post) and set it to the 'Videos Page' template... how does one actually include video in said Page? With standard embed codes? Since there isn't a Video ID code as there is with posts?

a consistent difficulty I'm having is with various things loading 'after the jump' on Category driven pages, that is on the second/third/etc load screens, past the first five posts.

First it was Vimeo native thumbnails that wouldn't load. Now I'm finding it a fairly consistent blockade to using various different lightbox plugins (I tried zoombox but it's functionality didn't suit me, sorry).

I know you offer limited support for third party plugins, but I've tried five or six different plugins now, and I'm wondering what it specifically about how the Category sections load(after the first page) that is breaking the cross-site implementation of so many potential functions?

Is it possible to disable the jump? Ie remove the limitation of five posts per category page, so that all load at once? I realise this will slow initial load for the user, but it's just a few thumbnail headers on most of my posts.
