Hi, I bought and installed the theme a long time ago and everything worked properly. Now, for some time the post pages are completely black and do not display anything.
I understand that it is a problem of the style.css file. I have in use the version
Version: 1.3.4. I also tried to install the new version of the theme but the pages continue to be black.
I tried to verify and the content of the page is there but it is not displayed.
How can I do? Can you help me? thank you so much

So I thought I would pass on a tip. I am using The Producer as a portfolio theme for my work, which is a lot of IT and projects in the arts. As a result, I do have a lot of video content but I may not always want to display the video first when you click on a post. By default, if you want the Credits, Video, Gallery, etc. tabs to display you must have a Main Video embed code.

How do you get around it?

The Main Video embed code requires an iframe tag. So just give it an empty iframe plug like this and you open up all of the other sections for posts:

<iframe width="0" height="0" frameborder="0" style="display:none;"></iframe><h1>Your Post Title Here</h1>

It also conveniently hides the author and post info, which is what I wanted.

When creating a new post, the embedded video and background image are not showing. I have added the jQuery migration plugin yet it still does not show.

Anyone else having this issue? I see my site logo and the menu, but no images or content on any page (all black background).

Hello there. I just clicked the small update wheel at the top of the dashboard and the site went down immediately and I got this message:

Hi Chris,

I cannot seem to change the background image on my home page. I can delete the current image but cannot place a new image.

I have the new image I wish to use loaded in my media library. When I click on upload an image, I only get the option of choosing images from my hard drive, not the media library.

I am using the producer theme. When I put the WooCommerce shortcode on my product page my products show up, but then when I click on an individual product it loads to a page that has nothing in it. The URL shows that it is in the right place and right product but there is no content displayed on the page. Normally clicking on the product takes you to a page to select specifications on the product then takes you to check out. I have tried all the suggested plugins related tactics, and a bunch of other methods but nothing works. Please help, thank you.

"The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme installation failed."

I've added the URL into the customize section to edit the theme, but it only displays the url instead of the intro text.

Any insight to how I can fix this? Maybe something I did wrong?

I'm trying to add some extra content into the home page, but it looks like the only way to do that is set it as a "Page", in which it loses that really nice slider that I'm using for books (posts).

Is there a way to add an extra section where I can type some text and add images and other links, etc.?

I looked around at the customize parts of wordpress and the code itself and it seems like the easiest way would be to hard code it right into the home page template. I'd much rather do it some way through plugins or the general wordpress system so I'm not dealing with code.

Is this possible? I really love this theme but I'm finding the need to add a little bit more info so it really works as a standalone site for my studio.

There are only 6 Posts - based on the 6 main films made in the project. (look under FILMS category)

Now that Wordpress has updated to a blocks-based visual editor, there is no longer the option to upload images to a particular post (unless they are for Featured Image or Background Image)

So some of my Gallery Tabs have only the Featured Image, some are empty, and I'm not sure how to upload a bunch of images to populate each Gallery Tab.

Any advice?

my website appears properly (www.ptitesmadeleinesproductions.com), but when I want to edit the MEDIA GALLERY, it is totally empty.
I have no clue why it does this suddenly. I have not changed anything.
I guess there has been a wordpress update recently: could that be the source of the issue?
I am a bit in distress as I cannot find any information on internet to help me to solve that issue.

Do you have any idea? Because it seems I am not the only one with that problem.

In one of my posts - http://beautifulliepictures.com/?p=791 the gallery photos all show up as thumbnails, but the last 17 of 49 don't enlarge. It just shows a never ending "loading" spinning wheel. This is only happening with pictures I added after doing the WordPress update. Please let me know how to correct this. Thank you.

I've done a fresh install of the theme and no success. I have little to no plugins that would cause it as other themes work.

I tried several configuration but the "Related Tabs" doesn't appear on my posts. I have on main category, and two sub-categories. My two posts are only related to one subcategory wich is "Food" (main category is "Work").

I checked on the "single.php" edit page but the line 14 is not "null".

How can I do to have the related tab again ?

Not there in this current version of WP with your theme version.

YOU SAY AT TIME CUE: 2:12 "When you click the continue button, you have various tabs . . ." WRONG. I have zero. Black screen and it says HELLO WORLD. Word Press boilerplate.

PLUS I had to go online and load in CONTACT FORM 7 since there was no plugin from your folder. How do I connect the plugin form to your CONTACT page? It keeps reverting back to the video on the home page.

I'm making changes under Appearance - Customization. I'm also clicking on Publish and it's saving. However, when I go look at the live site, nothing has changed. I'm refreshing, I'm doing a hard refresh, I've tried a browser that I've never been to the site on before and still no changes are taking affect.

Hi there, I am using The Producer theme, and have run into an issue with the styling of the site. I have done no custom styling to the site and the responsive menu on mobile is not working. The background overlay gets thrown down and the menu hides behind the other element.

I am looking for 'TV' and 'Film' under 'Credits', as the film one seems to be empty. They are not posts or pages so I'm not sure where else to look. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hi, is there any way to remove the footer panel?

Am using The Producer theme (which I love!) as my production co web site. Have been for 5 years now. I just went in and added another section to the top menu. A Music section. When I create new posts for that section and give them a title, the title comes up with the published date below. Which I don’t want. I tried creating a Page instead, but then realized that I can’t connect that to a Category. However, when I hit a link to that page, it actually takes me to the Page not the Post. Which is what I want. I’m guessing that’s because the Page and the Post have the same address? Is that the best way to do what I'm doing? Yep. Custom image background. This is so bizarre that I have taken up scotch. Aaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! all I want to do is put an image or footage (that I shot and is loaded into my drive!!!!!!!!!!!) onto the site as a background. Why on earth can't I just load onto my WP media library and grab it? Liscence should not be an issue. I shot it!

With the utmost respect, every answer you have given on this problem has not solved problem and it seems you just want to forget answering me man. Bummer. Although it seems counter intuitive to have to provide a URL for images I shot myself, I uploaded what I needed to my FLICKR account and made sure all my liscence settings were correct. Inserted URL and still does not work. This should be so simple. I re-attached same screen grab again on your other forum site so you can see where this set up is for both pages and posts.. I've once again taken more time out of my hours devoted to drinking and playing with my etch a sketch to solve this.

PS Your previous reply says URL provision is "done to support third-party image hosting solutions (e.g. imgur.com, etc.) that do not link up to their media library directly". Whaaa? Whaa? Support sites? Whaa? So I have to pay? No right? I want to use my own image. Period. I bought this theme Chris and I've been super patient.

Hi there. A post that was in your forum from 7 years ago was all I could find related to this issue. The issue is that WP cannot find the style.css file thus 'installation fails'. What I installed was the entire zip folder. Your solution from 7 years ago was to simply import the theme folder itself and nothing else. Two problems with this:

- WP oddly enough allows me to import the zip file but NOT the Producer theme folder within the zip folder. Frustrating.

- there is no specific file called style.css in that Producer folder. However, there are two style files that appear to be CSS documentation files. One is called 'style', the other 'style_light'. Neither have .css after them. Perhaps that is why install fails

I was hoping to finish this site up this weekend. Can you give me a solution? Your reply from 7 years ago was that there wasn't much you could do other than follow steps that you outlined (and which I followed...namely to just import the theme folder). Or search around youtube until you find some drunken fool giving you the wrong answers.

You gotta help me or my wife will be nagging me all weekend.

Dear Chris,

I am having a problem with the first background image of the gallery. It does not load, while the others seem to load fine. This is happening in both languages of the website.

Press "Home", scroll down to the gallery, you will see a smaller image and a text, but no background image. If you go to the next slide you will see the background image, and the same happens to the first image if you go back, but never when you first enter the website.

Can you help?
