The theme still doesn't work with the newest Wordpress, even with the jQuery migrate plugin installed. If you downgrade to Wordpress 5.5.3 and use the jQuery migration plugin, your background images/videos should work. I'm still hoping for an update.

When creating a new post, the embedded video and background image are not showing. I have added the jQuery migration plugin yet it still does not show.

Found another temporary solution – the issue seems to be caused by jquery migration (which admittedly, I don't really understand). There is a plugin designed to temporarily fix the issue: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/

I made a quick test site, and can confirm that it loads properly using this theme and Wordpress 5.5.1.

Chris and team: I totally understand my support on this theme has run out, so I'm happy to renew if that's what is preventing/delaying a response. I wasn't sure if the theme not working at all qualified as a personal support request or if that was just a basic function of the site that you would need to review regardless.

I can confirm that even with all plugins disabled, the issue persists. Downgrading to Wordpress 5.4.2 to solve the issue temporarily.

Sorry - update here! We're ok. I got onto our server hosts and it seems the issue is because we are using a Windows server, which is not supporting more recent WP updates (themes and plug ins) and any updating risks crashing the site. So we need to upgrade to Linux servers (Windows PHP is 5.6 and Linux PHP is 7.2 and the latest themes and plugins need higher then 5.6). Thank you anyway for your time. Karla

Hello there. I just clicked the small update wheel at the top of the dashboard and the site went down immediately and I got this message:

Please help...I am unable to access my media library from the customization page. I can delete my current image but am not able to upload or access my media library to place a new image on my home page.

Hi Chris,

I cannot seem to change the background image on my home page. I can delete the current image but cannot place a new image.

I have the new image I wish to use loaded in my media library. When I click on upload an image, I only get the option of choosing images from my hard drive, not the media library.

I am using the producer theme. When I put the WooCommerce shortcode on my product page my products show up, but then when I click on an individual product it loads to a page that has nothing in it. The URL shows that it is in the right place and right product but there is no content displayed on the page. Normally clicking on the product takes you to a page to select specifications on the product then takes you to check out. I have tried all the suggested plugins related tactics, and a bunch of other methods but nothing works. Please help, thank you.

It works well as responsive, but since the default iframe loads at 560 x 315, the preview even looks kind of crappy when the poster loads in tablet sized views.

It looks like I've managed to get the video in there just using Youtube's "embed" code as an iframe, but it's pretty small.

Isn't there a way to make this full width of that nice large intro area?

I've added the URL into the customize section to edit the theme, but it only displays the url instead of the intro text.

Any insight to how I can fix this? Maybe something I did wrong?

The home page layout was not originally designed to support additional content, so there's not a quick way to do this without custom development.

My best suggestion would be to duplicate the index.php file into page template and make your edits there.

One question I have while trying to figure out what's best is would it be better to:

• Use the "Recent Post" setting for the home page, and add content in around that somehow
OR
• Use a "Page" as the homepage, and inject that slider back into some part of it

?

I'm trying to add some extra content into the home page, but it looks like the only way to do that is set it as a "Page", in which it loses that really nice slider that I'm using for books (posts).

Is there a way to add an extra section where I can type some text and add images and other links, etc.?

I looked around at the customize parts of wordpress and the code itself and it seems like the easiest way would be to hard code it right into the home page template. I'd much rather do it some way through plugins or the general wordpress system so I'm not dealing with code.

Is this possible? I really love this theme but I'm finding the need to add a little bit more info so it really works as a standalone site for my studio.

Yes, that's correct. You need to upload the images FROM the post you want them displayed on.

Thanks Christopher - I now realise that the Add Image block will add an image to the gallery tab if you upload from the Add Image dialogue, but won't add anything if you select an image from the Media Library. Its a bit fiddly because you can only upload one image at a time, but it works without having to disable Gutenberg.

I have another question about the Gallery tab - How do I set up navigation between images? At the moment, I click on an image and it opens up to full size, but there are no options to close the image or move on to other images. I have seen navigation on other sites that use the theme, so i know it is possible...

There should be an add media button accessible still. Take a look around the title input area of the page.

I've found a workaround - I installed a plugin called Disable Gutenberg and whilst it is active, you get access to the Add Media button, which loads images into the post. these can then be removed from the post and they remain in the gallery.
Its not a very clean workflow, so it would be great if you could advise us of a neater solution,

I'm building a site at https://somethingsfromsomewhere.com

There are only 6 Posts - based on the 6 main films made in the project. (look under FILMS category)

Now that Wordpress has updated to a blocks-based visual editor, there is no longer the option to upload images to a particular post (unless they are for Featured Image or Background Image)

So some of my Gallery Tabs have only the Featured Image, some are empty, and I'm not sure how to upload a bunch of images to populate each Gallery Tab.

Any advice?
