How do I add a video to the featured image spot?

Where do I find the year to update on each post? 2010s?

I've tried a few things now as I'm running into the issue of not being able to enter dates before 1970- I've got both xampp 32 bit and wamp 64 bit installed and have tried using the latest wordpress available as well as version 4.9.9 in both of those.

Does this still work for you? If so what version of wordpress are you using and can you tell me further details on your stack? I'm running this on win7 locally as well which could be the problem. Any insight you can give me would be helpful!

Hi,

I'm running into 2 small issues with the Curator theme.

- The names for the images in the lightbox are not shown for the first image
- The years are not shown correct. 1566 is shown as 1560's and it should show 1566

I made a small screencast of what is happening, here you can also see that you have more options available in your Youtube tutorial than Me.
Hopefully you can help me out.

I have updated the theme and WordPress (4.9.1) for this site http://www.joatton.com/.

Zoom box is installed and activated.

Everything is working fine for old articles on the timeline (2016 > click > popup > working gallery).

When i create a new article (like as i used to do) i have the popup + zoom but gallery/arrows are not working on timeline & article : http://www.joatton.com/2018/01/16/test-gallerie/

I would like to know if I could show 2 or more distinct timelines based on categories on the home page? I already can show this as one continuous timeline but I would like my timeline based on categories to be one under anther.

I currently have a free wordpress account and I am using beaverbuilder lite with it. I now want to utilse "Curator" and customise it for my own content. What upgrades, if any, do I need to work on it through wordpress. Forgive me if this is basic but I'm very new to the wordpress architecture

I like to put post with dates like: -1000A.C. but i only can put 1000, and no more dates. Do you know some plugin or code to solve it?

I have another problem with the featured images and the WPML plugin.
I upload an image in a language and its ok, but then i translate but... the featured images don´t appear in the header because i dont have upload with that language...
What can i do to show in the header of the post?

Hello! Do you mind checking out my site and letting me know if you have any ideas as to why when you slide the marker along the timeline, the date doesn't change? It says 2010s no matter where you slide the marker.

Is it possible to change that feature and if so, how so?

just one question about the theme, I'm using v1.4.9.3 version on my site.
I found excessive loading slowness of homepage gallery. This happens only on Firefox and Explorer, on Chrome it's ok.
Can you give me some suggestions about this?

So far I succeeded in increasing the width of the posts in #main and the corresponding images in #attachment gallery. I'd like give embedded videos the same (larger) width in posts. But adding a width value in the iframe code in the post, has no effect. How should I proceed?

First of all, great job on The Curator theme ... it's exactly what I needed for my project. I just installed it this weekend and started working with it ... very easy to use.

I have 2 questions:

(1) Once you start adding posts the main page that has the timeline becomes extremely slow ... I checked with my hosting tech support and they said it's because the page is loading all the content at once. So is there a way to make the timeline load on demand? Example ... if you're in 2015, that content is loaded ... the content for 2016 doesn't load until you get to that year.

(2) I don't want the post to load when an image on the timeline is clicked ... instead, I just want the same effect as when I click the title, i.e. for the short text to appear. Is there a simple CSS to use to achieve that?

I was wondering why the website freezes in Firefox, while it works perfectly in Chrome and Edge?

It’s freezing right when it loads. The timeline doesn’t come, you only see the image of the loader. I got the error from a viewer who mentioned it to me, because I’m using Chrome.

When I installed the latest version of Firefox it froze also with me. Than I started setting all security settings of (the latest) firefox off. Still the same… than I updated the site by providing all links in https:// ... still the same. I don’t have a clue what it might be. The firefox debugger says something with the JQuery script.

I have using The Curator for about 4 years and love it's simplicity and read the forums, and it seems you have
deleted pretty photo and have been working on Zoom Box?
My light box doesn't work anymore even after updating to 1.4.9
My question is do I have to install Zoombox or is there a tick box or something I am missing?
I have deactivated all Plugins but nothing seems to work. As my target market is the older generation and I display at least five images per board
I really need this working. Any help would be appreciated.

I have images I want to post within the post and not inside the gallery. I follow the instuctions here ( http://www.themolitor.com/help/curator/#slideshow ), tried to go to Media, upload a new image (so I am not in edit post), and after it is uploaded - edit post. Insert media, select the image from uploaded files. Insert into post.

It then appears in the post, but it was also automatically added to the gallery. So it appears that it does not work as in your description. Or am i doing something wrong?

For the website I am currently developing (with the Curator Theme), the person wants to add a lot of media and wants to organize this process. To that end I want to incorporate a media library plugin. I already tried adding a free plugin; which broke the possibility to rearrange the image order - for the top curator post gallery. And in the end the organize possibilities where not extensive enough.

Now I am interested in the following plugin: https://codecanyon.net/item/wordpress-real-media-library-media-categories-folders/13155134
But I am afraid that it would not work together well with the timeline plugin, and the possibilities to arrange a gallery order (in the top of a timeline post), and/or the put content only within the post (which is not working anyway at this moment, but you are reacting to that point in another thread).

But can you shine any light on this?
Do you know, or is there a way to find this out without buying and trying?

In Chrome the site loads flawlessly (www.schallerers.com) but in Firefox the time lines all just show a loading animation. Is there some setting or code that is to blame? just updated to 4.9.1, was having the same issue with 4.5 as well.

She complained that when she clicked on some images to see enlargements they were fussy, when clicked on from timeline or from an individual category page such as Grid-Based. I reworked just two images (and added detail in photoshop before I exported to the web at 800 wide or height) and I think I solved that particular problem. But there is another problem my client is very unhappy about: on the Category pages, such as Grid-based notice how fuzzy the images are. For instance, when you click on the first image named Spheres an image is loaded that retains the nice detail which I worked in photoshop and just added as a new featured image. Also, I reworked the image I loaded as featured for the second image named Twelve Leaves, and it looks nicely detailed when you click on it, but it is fuzzy on the category page named Grid-based. Is there any way to control this?

The client also does not like the sizes of the images on the category pages and I told her without having a hand-coded site with many different sizes of images for different purposes, we could not control this in a Wordpress setting.

So the main issue I think remains is there any way to get sharper crisper images on the page such as the one I listed at the top? Thanks for you expertise. Let's hope this client can stop having panic attacks. Now she has said she cannot pay me for any more time but hates the site!!

I have looked through the doc that came with your downloads for the Curator theme and also your forum questions and I cannot find anything about the following.

I successfully created a time to appear by default on the home page using the theme Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page selection and selecting the radio button for Your latest Posts, and I created three posts as a test so I could show my client named Lew Graham how it will work. If I change this to A Static Page and select a page I created named My Time Line that appears when clicked in the menu but no images and timeline. I also messed with Settings >Readings and did pretty much the same thing. Your demo has a page named Home that has the Timeline on it! I want to make sure there is a page that is associated with the root, that comes up first but that one can always get back to. Any ideas about what I might need to do?? You theme is quite powerful but I really will only need to do a few things with it. Notice that when you load the site as: http://a15.f99.myftpupload.com/ you see the start of a time line I created, but if you click on My Time Line is does not show you what I created. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP...or the client might want money back!!
