Hi Chris, it's been quite a while since you've made any updates to Panels theme.

Are you intending to update this theme?

With the new WP reporting, I'm getting a bit tired of all the error reports while hobbling along using jQuery Migrate helper as a "fix". See below:

I think i am going to broke my laptop'screen soon.. i can't figure how but since a short time my highlighted image of a post doesn't show up w
after you clicked on it ; the post appeard without the picture on the top..
But in the category page, you can see this image on the top of the extract of the post..

Worst than that, it was properly worked at the beguinning, now it just doens't want...
I installed wp super cache, removed my image and cache stuff in google...

i just don't f***** understand...
i can't show you the link cause its early building, but could you explain how do you build properly the pictures on the top of the post( i looked the FAQ but it doen't help me)
i saw that's the very simple feature in the wordpress post parameters, but why for god seek i always found those kind of issue for simple customisation .....

I can't fix an (one of the last) invalid markup on W3C with a very (very) simple page with a shortcode.
Here you have the page and the html from wordpress :

After contacting stackoverflow, two wordpress supports, i decided (even if the issue is not a big deal) to post here also.

the error is about a : "No p element in scope but a p end tag seen", but impossible to solve it with stackoverflow with this shortcode in the page. And i would like to keep it of course.

...yes we can see the toogle shortcode very "heavy" and little bit "stucky" when we click on it... Is it because i putted an image just below ?

I start to hate html validators cause i understand more and more their limitless, and the non-sens of its rules changing over and over again, but if you have a good idea for thi sspecial case please advise me.

Scripts are about themes stuff, or image gallery options, nothing bad, but should i delete it ?

Strange issue : i've noticed a bug when you clic on the posts, when items open, you can see a little bug making a "go and come" horizontally (back and forth).

We can see that half of a second but still anoying. You can check it everytimes you click to open a post.
(The post window makes this strange move, and at the same time on the right there is also a second scrolling bar that appears and disappears quickly...)

To be noticed i changed the background color of my posts "opened" with this in the custom css :

But even when i remove this code its still the same.

Hope your doing well.

I realize unfortunately that there ar many bugs and responsivity issue on small device like :

apple iphone
android phone

(many in portrait mode, maybe normal i don't know but also in landscape mode ...)

-when you open the link you see during one second the menu bar in normal big screen and the first panel hugely cropped, then your small panel with the white menu bar on top appears.

-some panels are cropped on the right or left, text and png are "out of vision"

-some borders appears arround pics or thumnails on the left, on the top, on teh bottom.

-when you navigate "horizontaly", there are bugs : difficulty to the next page to load.

-some css put in wordpress dashboard doesn't appears on small device (for me background of post for example and align center for the form)

-some panels with content align apears desorganized on this small devices (exemple : 4 pictures well aligned in a page in computer, we obtain two pics align only and two other pics desorganized on phone)

-text in page is really cropped or desorganize.

i am building an other website with your theme.(love it)

But i found the same issue i had with the first one ; size of image background.(doesn't fit at all on screen, image cropped)

The problem is that i can't even understand myself in our past topics about it..

Well, i have put 1024x768 as pixel, tried many sizes, i tried to resize inside wordpress also in the parameters of pictures, its the same issue, the pics are always cropped (cropped in the same way !) on my screen, i tried diferent screens, its the same.

I know there is one trick, but...don't know witch one...

I understood it verywell, but for exemple in your panels demo , even with a simple video or simple "projetcs" panel (exactely in the "project page" and "video page" of your demo) : the paginationlinks at the bottom right already "disappear".
For me, if i'm not wrong, this content don't make the panels run so long, and should not make pagination links "out of vision".
Or : how to make a video or a project'thumnails shorter?
Or can we "shorten" the space between the top and the beginning of the content for each page?

Is there an easy way to fix that?

I found out after years that custom ccs codes are not working me for generally.
( in the css custom section of the theme)

I know that i am still learning css, but even when i put proper codes that you gived me or that i saw and copy/past (from good forums), 90% of times nothing is showing up.

Am i doing something wrong? What could be the cause of this?

When i inspect the elements of the website, with googlechrome for example, i can see proper css codes, can customize it, and its perfectly working when scripts are correct.

But after that, when i copy/past this code in my custom css section in wordpress, just nothing change :
I see the "white screen loading", then the page/elements freshly customized don't change at all.
(while its properly working in the google inspection elements.)

I talk about very simples customisations : color, transparency, size of elements, margin, height etc etc

I tried so much scripts, started with "#" or ".", put "!important" etc etc

Now i'am so frustrated and would like to undderstand...

Is there something i didn't get?

When i add codes in the gallery shortcode stuff in css style of the theme, it doesn't show up.

Here i just want a white borders for each thumbnails pictures (in the gallery page), i whrote :

And i have like a 3 px border and the color is grey.

After theme update, the skills shortcodes don't show up.
On page we just see excately the code : [skill level="90" title="WP Development"] not the desing bar.

I delete and re-whrited it, noting changed.

I made severals updates (wordpress and your panels theme)>all is very fine but :

Had the same issue at the beguining> the lightbox(fanzybox) build in your theme doesn't show up..

I ve been reading all our old posts (i fixed it in the past but i did'nt tell how in our posts :S dann !)
Also your FAQ for building gallery (easy)
I ve been reading again the others posts from other people...
I looked some wordpress posts also with this kind of issues (in wordpress forums).
(=> I have linked all medias and the galleries to "media file + my wordpress media/page/gallery and else are properly done)
But the fanzy box still not showing up...

Is there a new way with the last update of the theme? Or am i again missing something ?

By the way i tried to install a plugin "fanzybox" or "responsive lightbox" ; they are all working but not showing up titles..

!!! i saw a strange stuff : in the custom section, there is a small red circle logo("no entry") when you move your mouse on thumbnails ...mabe you will see quickly what happend....

I have difficulty to custom contact form 7 with theme updated, i need to know where i have to put the css code cause i 'm a little bit lost.

I just want to remove the background of the contact form 7 ; in their support they advise codes but when i put them in the css custom in wordpress dashboard or in the css custom of the plugin, nothing show up.

codes are like :

Just purchased this theme and setting up a new site. I've found that the parallax effect simply isn't working in Safari (latest version 9.1). I'm able to reproduce it on your Panels demo site. Everything seems to work fine in Chrome.

Ok, I asked over at wp first, they thought it a theme problem so here goes:

I added a page. When I scroll down at the website, as each page goes past, the menu background becomes blue except with the new page, it gets skipped that way. It's not a sub-page, and I can't figure it out.

Any idea?

Recently, I received a message and looked on my site and there are updates for 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012. Do I update using them all? I don't see why else all would appear.

Also I just received an email from Envato saying there's an update to Panels: One-Page Responsive WP Theme. So I went to my site, I don't see an update for this different from those described in the above para that I saw a few weeks ago.

So I went to its themeforest page, nothing about updates there. How do I get this update, simply download again on its themeforest page?

Hi Chris,
I used your panels theme for http://www.loft-b.com
There are 5 pages in the main navigation.
It shows me the 5 "dots" but by clicking the third "dot" it shows the content and background of the forth page (same content like clicking the forth "dot").

The "active" mode of the navigation also doesn't work – it shows not the current "dot" as active.
And sometimes it don't load the background-image.

Maybe you've got a hint for me?

Ok I think this will be my last question and then we will have the site and theme working very well together...

So I have some links on the site that go to a single page on the site... So all I did was make a new page and put the text I wanted there in it and chose the BG image to use... Well it works but for some reason the BG image is not showing up?

Do the BG images not work if the page is not part of the main one page scrolling site? How can I get a BG image on a single page?
