The menu icons are too close to the text in desktop mode. Where the menu item contains two lines of text eg Meet the Team the icon is positioned in the middle instead of the top.

1. Is there a fix for the above please?

2. Can the menu icons be turned off in desktop mode and just be turned on in mobile or tablet mode? Howto please?

I am very new to wordpress and bought and found your templates because I think they look cool :-)

I have started putting a blog together (www.lust4latex.co.uk) and have been added blog posts as I thought that was the way to do this. But I don't understand how I add a page and then get my most recent blog post to appear on that page. Is there a short code or something I need to enter for it to do that automatically or have I put things together wrong?

my website doesn't look good on mobile phones; the menu items are not there but I still can navigate through them, and I've tried to change their font color but nothing happened.
Also I wanna change button sizes and images for the mobile version , I've done that before using media query but I couldn't find it her.

I'm developing a site with Misc and, unlike the first time I did it for IICA (IICA.ORG.BR), something went wrong when I customized the imported the Demo's XML. For some reason (some mistake of mine, I'm sure), two things have happened:

1. Only the Sample Page (now called PRINCIPAL) appears when one rolls the one page sausage. The others appear when I click the menu, but don't segue as in the Demo.
2. when one rolls the one page sausage, the PRINCIPAL page appears again, although without the background.

I been stumbling around since I made the purchase of the MISC theme... First, your video tutorials are great, and I have found a lot of help on this forum but I seem to be having an issue that is just stumping me from doing anything productive with the theme. So here's my questions, as I could not find specific answers to this theme anywhere else... (This is *not* my first wordpress site but I'm more confused than I have ever been before.)

1) I'm not very familiar with short codes, which is where 99% of my difficulty is coming from. I have download the theme, properly installed it, and properly installed the demo filler. I've changed the "static front page" to "your latest posts" - however I am unfamiliar with how to load an image in the header section after doing this. I have loaded up images and selected them in the text editor by replacing the image url but it's not showing up. Also, when I do this the menu is not spacing out and centering neatly like you have on the live mock up site.

This is a major issue because what I would ideally *love* to do is just edit out the content, graphics and menu items and insert my information - bedaubing! No go. :(

Worse, when I try to use the short codes when the theme is set to "static front page" to update the header images in the slider, I am not seeing the header image appear, the menu is only showing in the footer--not in the middle of the page like your mock up site, and the sliders are not doing anything more than showing two small arrows in black (not the big arrows on the side of the pages like you had) although (that short code seemed to be the only one I've had success with.)

What am I doing wrong?? :(

This seems to be what's preventing me from going further with my site. If I've missed your response or a walkthrough video for this please forgive me. I'm just looking for the answers to help me move forward and it seems to be something between my widgets/plug ins/menus that aren't configured correctly.

PS: I've installed all the plug ins that you've suggested in the support section and activated them.

I have a weird issue with my fresh new install of WP 4.4.2 and Misc 1.1.1

when i upload a picture more than 1mb, i get an error message "couldn't uplaod the file, please try again later"

i'v been checking my php.ini file, and spent 30 min by phone with my host.
it seems that the issue come from the theme.

I tried desactivating all plugin and the issue remains the same.

Could you check that issue, do you need some admin access ?

Hi, I'm trying to create a menu with three pages and two categories, but these last two show all posts (all categories). In others sites (with others themes) I've done without problems. Can you help me? Thanks.

Prior to updating to v1.1.0 I had the theme set to load a Welcome page as the first page of the site. I updated the theme and recently I have noticed that the page is not loading in the header of the page anymore.

I changed the host and have the MISC reinstalled from full backup.
Everything's all right, except when I add the new page to the menu and selected the icon for it, this icon will not display. After the updating the page, the selected icon isn't saved, there's again only the the empty(select icon) option in this field on the bottom.
I noticed, all the other remaining pages have also just an empty icon (select) fields however, the previously selected icons DO display in the menu.
Any idea how can I "force" my selected icon to "stay selected" when/after the page update?
(geeez, that's sound a very dumb question, noh?)

I'd tried to create a child theme for MISC, but, when it loaded, the site was missing most of it's parts.

I copied styles.css and made the necessary changes. I copied functions.php and made it empty. I also copied index.php b/c when I didn't I couldn't load the theme b/c WP said the theme was broken and missing a template file.

I'm using WP 4.2.2.

What am I supposed to copy to make the child theme work properly?

Hi!

I'm using the MISC theme and are generally very happy with it. Now I did the update, and I'm trying to figure out some bugs that came with it.
I'm using a child theme to save my changes to it, but I only did changes to the CSS file. The header file is also part of the child theme, but I copied the contents of the new header file to it.

The problem: All the buttons just link to "#", so the pagination doesn't work anymore. The Header part is not showing up, and the menu neither.

When I customize the child theme, I can select the header page, the menu etc. But it won't show up anyway.

I guess there must be some more serious problem, like some jQuery loading problem or so. What can I do?

When I activate the MISC theme directly from the Theme pane, I get a message:

"Cheatin’ uh?"

When I click on Live Preview, the Child theme is shown.

HI Why aren't you updating your themes. There are quite a few security updates to bring to the theme and update the slider too.
This is very worrying... All other themes I have bought have been updated after this last security issue that hit wordpress themes & plugins.

I've just done a theme update on a website and its showing different fonts on the menubar at the bottom of the page.

I bought the theme on themeforest. Unzipped and found MISC files, there was a theme zip in there, so I loaded it via WP installer and no issue. Theme activated, but missing shortcodes, template admin, etc.
So I watched video for uploading demo, found demo.xml and tried 10 times to load, it just says server sent no information.

Any clues? About ready to give up on the theme, looks cool, but can't keep trying daily just to use it.

Is it possible to link to page and scroll directly to the main page content?
i.e. Right now if I link to a page I get the header/scroller and need to scroll down to the content.

If I want to link to a page from within the site then I'd like the link to go to the target page but not force the user to scroll past the header.

I've set the permalink settings to 'Post Name' and the blog post are correct. (e.g. http://marybethandjay.com/life-is-what-happens-while-you-are-busy-making-other-plans/)

However, the permalink structure for the rest of the site is still set to 'Default' (e.g. http://marybethandjay.com/?menu=proposal-video&panel=1)

I bought MISC for use for a documentary movie site. I know you had the PRoducer one, but MISC seemed so much simpler. Plus we are planning to make a community out of the site, for activism for change in addiction treatment, so didn't need just a sweeping beautiful widescreen image, etc...page.

I cannot find a theme folder in my download pack?

My other question would be could you make the Ajax or page navigation go automatically to another page/section after the movie trailer was viewed?
My home page will be like the video page you have, with a player in the middle. The background will be a graphic of the movie poster and various festival listings, reviews, call to action petition buttion, etc.
But I thinking I would get more involved if after the trailer it went strait to the "make a difference
page.

I've been trying to change the language of some MISC features like the Show more & Show less ("Mostra més" & "Mostra menys" in catalan) line but can't find it anywhere.

In general, I found really hard to find the places where that kind of text has to be changed to not have a half catalan - half english website.

Finally, got a problem when trying to return to a specific menu from a post when it's not the main page.
The final button in the URL I've copied should do it but it's not working.
I don't want to use a button to the page that refers the menu because it will be, also, out of the main.

At the moment, the content of each page (or section) is centered and there is lot of space both on left and right side: is it possible to use a full width layout with wide content on the page, please?

how do I go about fixing this

I have created two category menu items on our site (https://stanchionpayments.com), "News" and "Careers".

I expect that when I go to News it doesn't show any of the posts in the Careers category and likewise when I go to Careers I don't expect to see any of the posts in the News category.

Right now if I visit either link I see all posts from both categories.

I just updated to WP4 and am now missing my menu icons.

First of all, thanks for a great theme! It looks really well :)

I've installed and configured MISC without issues.

I installed WP-Super-Cache in order to improve performance. The thing is that WP-Super-Cache (all the cache plugins in fact) require fancy permalinks to be enabled.

When I enable fancy permalinks with MISC, I debugged my Welcome page (which has 3 newpage AJAX loaded blocks) and found it looks for /welcome/2 and /welcome/3 urls and get a 404.

So my question is, how did you set the home with multiple ajax blocks and WP-Super-Cache to work together?
