Hi there,

The design is intended to display icons since there is not enough horizontal space to display the full text menu.

Be sure to assign icons to represent each menu item. More info: http://themolitor.com/help/misc/#menusetup

Hi there,

Standard pages do not display posts. Category pages are what you want to use for that. WordPress automatically creates a category page for each category that has published posts assigned to it.

You can see these from the "Menus" page when you toggle the "category" box to display options there.

Let me know if that helps.

Hi,
I am very new to wordpress and bought and found your templates because I think they look cool :-)

I have started putting a blog together (www.lust4latex.co.uk) and have been added blog posts as I thought that was the way to do this. But I don't understand how I add a page and then get my most recent blog post to appear on that page. Is there a short code or something I need to enter for it to do that automatically or have I put things together wrong?

Thanks

Hi there,

To override the recommended white color styling for the menu text, you can copy/paste the following into your Custom CSS box on the Customize page...

#dropmenu li.current-menu-item > a,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-item > a:hover,
#dropmenu li > a,
#dropmenu li > a:hover {
    color: #ffffff;
}

Just change #ffffff to the color/hex value you want to use.

Regarding mobile styling, you can access the media query styling by navigating to css/respond.css in the theme files. I'm happy to point you in the right direction, but please keep in mind customizations like this are not part of standard support services.

Best,

Hi there,

Thanks for the video!

It appears you have the same page assigned to both the header section and the main content area (via the menu).

I do not recommend displaying that page content like that in the header area. The header area is intended to be much more simple and serve as an "introduction" to the site. Maybe try just a background image with the logo and brief welcome message. Then you can leave that page as the "home" for the lower section.

Please let me know if that helps.

Best,

Hi there,

The menu items are controlled from the menu page. You can control which items appear by adding/removing them from the menu.

Regarding styling, the header area is treated differently than the lower area (below the menu).

Please let me know if that answers your question.

Hi Chris

Here's the link again. It works well here: http://advocacia.mariosalimon.com/wordpress/

Sorry about the poor "sausage" metaphor. I'll try to explain it differently. The demo has a page that, when you roll it down, becomes a sequence of all the pages that appear on the menu (this is why I called it a "sausage". After I customized the Sample Page to be my Home (PRINCIPAL), the other pages disappeared. Now only a repeated version of Sample Page, without the background color, remains when I roll it down. I want to either have all the pages in the sequence or none.

I may have misunderstood the process, though. In my head, you create the pages and they all become part of the resulting page scroll that unfolds when you move the first page down. Perhaps there's something I missed while studying the help files and videos, or I may have erased part os the script that came with the imported XML.

Tank you for the attention.

Mário S.

Hi Chris

I'm developing a site with Misc and, unlike the first time I did it for IICA (IICA.ORG.BR), something went wrong when I customized the imported the Demo's XML. For some reason (some mistake of mine, I'm sure), two things have happened:

1. Only the Sample Page (now called PRINCIPAL) appears when one rolls the one page sausage. The others appear when I click the menu, but don't segue as in the Demo.
2. when one rolls the one page sausage, the PRINCIPAL page appears again, although without the background.

UPDATE:

I found for some reason I had two Zoom plug ins, but with different numbers/versions; deleted one and the spacing on the menu fixed itself. However the header disappeared from my welcome page and I am still not able to get an image into the header area. Please advise.
