Hi Molitor

is there any problem in gerneral with the recent PHP versions 7+ and the Maitre'D Theme?

It appears that when i update to a newer version, my website is blank / not loading!
After dating back the PHP version the website is back again running – i have no clue!

There is no hard coding or anything (just one little snippet in custom css)...

Thanks for letting me know – otherwise i have to find the problem somewhere else.

Hi there,

You're trying to install a theme that already exists. To do it this way, you need to delete the theme that you already have installed. That said, I recommend replacing the files (via FTP).

Best,

Hi there,

You're using v1.0.3 (Nov 2012). The lastest version is v1.2.6 (Oct 2016). You can grab the latest copy from your ThemeForest downloads page.

Use that and the issue you're having should be resolved.

Hello. Le Maitre d' has been a great and easy website for my restaurant for the last 5 or so years. Recently though, for one of my pages/menus, I only see a kind of asterisk instead of the Logo & Home Info that would normally be there, and which appears correctly on all other pages.

Hi there,

Hard to say the cause, but it appears to be isolated to your home page (all other pages are loading pretty quick).

My best suggestion is to disable any additional plugins you have installed to see if that has any impact.

I don't see anything theme-related that would be causing such a huge loading delay. For this reason I may be limited in my ability to troubleshoot this issue. Hope you understand.

Hi there,

Thanks for following up!

The url structure is all managed by WordPress, so I can't say for sure what the issue would be. I noticed your using a subdomain for your dev environment. Maybe that has something to do with it (i.e. not properly redirecting)? I'm not sure. All I can say is that the theme doesn't interact with the URL management system in WordPress, so there isn't much on my end I can assist with unfortunately.

Best,
