A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme.

This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly.

Luckily, there is a very easy fix. Please follow the steps below to rectify this issue or review this graphic here: http://themolitor.com/images/download_install.jpg

Download the final zip file from your downloads page.
Unzip the final zip file; you should now have a final download folder.
Do NOT upload the final download folder. Open up the final download folder.
Browse the contents and find the actual theme folder. If you look inside the theme folder, you will see a “style.css” file. This is how you know you have found the theme folder.
Upload ONLY the theme folder to your “wp-content/themes” folder.
Login to your WordPress admin panel and activate the theme.

HI,

im using the HTML template for VYSUAL and im loving it! one thing tho... where do i find the source code for the background video? i want to change it to one of my own videos but i really cant find the function... does not really matter if its a youtube video or a self hosted one. i just need to find where the current video is linked. all help is welcome!

When it comes to themes, they are just design files for WordPress. They don't actually store or manage your database content.

That said, WordPress does provide a way for the content on a WordPress database to be exported/imported into another WordPress database. It's not hard and requires NO coding knowledge.

Hello,

For the index page trailer, when the "play" button is pressed, I can't get a vimeo video to show up instead of a locally hosted file. Do I need to update the API?

BEFORE YOU UPDATE:

If you made any changes to the older theme files, be sure to make note of them and apply the changes to the newer files. Otherwise you will LOSE YOUR EDITS.
If you're updating from a version of the theme that required you to install the OptionTree plugin, you'll need to delete that plugin as it is no longer required.
Make sure your database AND website files are backed up before you make any changes.

TO UPDATE THE THEME:

Download the latest version of the theme from your downloads page on ThemeForest.
Using an FTP tool, navigate to the themes folder in your WordPress installation.

yourdomain.com > wordpress folder > wp-content > themes > theme name
```
Replace the old theme folder (contains "style.css" inside) with the new one via FTP.

AFTER UPDATING THE THEME:
All themes now use the WordPress Theme Customizer for the theme options. Be sure to review all the options available on the customize page (appearance > customize) as there may be some new options available with the update.

If you're updating from a version of the theme that required you to install the OptionTree plugin, you'll need to reapply your theme settings on the customize page and delete the OptionTree plugin as it is no longer required.

Hello, I came up with a solution for this problem. Its not the best code but its working. I thought that it could help someone with the same problem.

Hi there,

Loading times really depend on the number/file size of elements on the page, your hosting bandwidth speed and your computers connection speed to the internet.

I've taken all the steps I know to make sure my themes load as quickly as I can, but in most cases the theme doesn't really have any control over loading times. My best recommendations are...

1. Use a caching plugin like WP Super Cache

2. Optimize images using various online tools:

3. Try breaking content/images up into separate pages/categories (if possible).

4. Upgrade your hosting account to handle more bandwidth.

5. Utilize a Content Delivery Network (CDN). MaxCDN is really popular.

To change the order of how images appear in the WordPress gallery, simply click/drag the images in the order you want them to appear in the gallery pop-up window.

Method:

Click "add media".
Under the "media library" text, locate the select drop down menu and change it from "all media items" to "uploaded to this post"
You should now be able to click/drag the order of the images (no saving required, just click/drag and you're done).

Vysualize theme - audio continues to automatically play. I have gone into appearance < customize < audio < and deleted the audio url and unchecked the autoplay box. I don't want any audio on my site. How can I accomplish this fix?
